Rider explained that the filly had travelled well in the early and middle stages of the event; however, when placed under pressure had failed to respond to his riding and was disappointing over the concluding 300 metres. He added that the filly was inclined to race greenly during the event. A post-race vet exam revealed lacerations to the near hind pastern.
