When questioned regarding the tactics adopted, jockey stated that in recent starts, it’s been the intention to race closer to the speed on INVESTIBLE, however circumstances at the start have not permitted that to happen. He added with the wide barrier and no interference at the start, he was able to take up an anticipated position nearer the speed. Stewards noted the explanation.

Failed to muster any early speed despite the urgings of apprentice S Stephan. S Stephan advised the gelding objected to the sand and failed to stretch out over the early stages. A post-race veterinary examination confirmed CLUSTERFEST was sore in both front fetlocks. Trainer L Kiernan was advised that a veterinary certificate would be required prior to it’s next start. A veterinary clearance was received on the 15/02/2021
