When questioned regarding the improved performance, Trainer D Gardiner could offer no tangible excuse for the improved performance other than he had added a tongue tie after it’s last start at Thangool and returning to the sand surface at Bundaberg today where WRECKING BALL had previously been successful. Stewards noted the explanation.
