Swaffer advised that the filly had got its tongue over the bit in running. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer Mr T. Rowe’s representative, who advised a gear change would be considered, was nonetheless advised the filly would be required to trial satisfactorily prior to its next race start.
