When questioned regarding the performance rider stated the mare travelled well throughout the early and middle stages, but when the tempo increased passing the 800m his mount failed to quicken when put under pressure and was disappointing in the manner in which it finished its race off. Rider added that in his opinion mare may not have run out the 1600m of todays race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities
