Tversky The start was delayed when this horse broke through the barriers. Was quickly restrained, underwent a veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Sunshine Coast 15/07/2017

Muddy Rope Jockey M. Cahill reported that his mount was uncomfortable racing amongst horses and was inclined to lay in throughout the event. Laid in significantly under pressure in the home straight. Sunshine Coast 10/09/2017

On a High Commenced to shift in under pressure over the concluding stages resulting in its rider having to stop and straighten. Gold Coast 09/12/2017
 
Race 4
Conspicuous Jockey R. Stewart was asked to comment on the performance of the horse. He indicated he had been obliged to do more work than he would have liked in the early stages in order to cross to the lead, however the horse was still, in his opinion, disappointing in its finishing effort. A post race veterinary examination revealed the horse was showing signs of a low grade respiratory infection. Trainer B. Lockwood advised that the gelding would now be sent for a spell. Back Chat Slow to begin. On return to scale, jockey G. Geran reported that his mount raced greenly throughout the event. Steadied from the heels of PEDROS SHOW near the 500m and lost ground. Steadied from heels on two occasions approaching and passing the 400m. Toowoomba 04/11/2017
Fantastic Halo Near the 700m after being crossed by another runner was forced to shift out to avoid heels. Rider advised in light of today's performance connections would now spell the filly. Ipswich 19/04/2017

Interventions When afforded the opportunity to comment on the disappointing performance, apprentice S. Lacy stated that after obtaining the lead in the early stages the gelding overraced for a short distance leaving the 1500m, however then continued to race comfortably and, in her opinion, the gelding failed to run out the distance of today’s event. Gala Royale Difficult to load - Warning recorded. Rider stated approaching the first turn the filly was reluctant to hold its position when racing tight and was a consequence lost ground. Added filly was under pressure throughout the event and ultimately weakened in the straight. Post-race vet exam - bled from both nostrils. Stable rep was advised filly would now incur the mandatory 3 month bar from racing. Newcastle 08/04/2017

Pexbury Avenue Slow into stride. Held up for clear running in the early part of the home straight. Disappointed for clear running approaching the 200m and had to be steadied away from heels and then went to the line without being fully tested. Ipswich 15/12/2017

King Red Jumped awkwardly. Pulled hard in the early stages. Doomben 09/09/2017
Bold Adventure Rider questioned re disappointing performance - stated had a nice trail behind SPRING TYCOON in early and middle stages however, when placed under pressure prior to home turn did not respond to his riding and was making an abnormal respiratory noise and immediately lost ground. Added eased gelding out of the event near 200m and near 100m shied and he became unbalanced. Veterinary surgeon advised that gelding previously undergone throat surgery and as such vet clearance, ECG and barrier trial required. Eagle Farm 13/03/2017

Wild Ava Rider questioned re why did not avail himself to a run directly in front in early stages of home straight rather than shifting out around heels of NARDOO, resulting in contact on 2 occasions with I LIKE CANDY. Initially considered improving was of view track firmer towards inside and with the option he took he did so as he was of the view that I LIKE CANDY was weakening and would have allowed his horse clear running.
