Hellyer, the rider of LE MATTAN, was reprimanded for this incident.

Blundered on jumping. When quest re failure to ride mount out for the final 2 strides of the event rdr stated mount commenced to lay out under whip pressure app 150m. Rdr stated that passing 75m he desisted from using the whip, using only hands & heels pressure, & was able to keep his mount on a relatively straight course. Rdr stated that over the final strides of the event his mount shifted out again & he stop riding it along & corrected it. Explanation accepted.
