Strawberry Blonde Raced in restricted room and was eased near the 600m when WHY WOULDN’T YOU (M. Hellyer) shifted out. Jockey L. Tilley reported that he was instructed to obtain cover on the filly from the wide barrier if possible and, in an endeavour to comply with the instructions, he was forced to settle further back in the field than anticipated. Race 4
All Shiraz Jockey M. Cahill reported that his mount never travelled at any stage of the race, which he attributed to the filly being reluctant to stretch out on the firm going today. Trainer Mr. R. Lipp agreed with jockey Cahill’s assessment and added that, in his opinion, the filly would be better suited on surfaces with more give than that of today’s race. Stewards noted the explanation. A post-race veterinary examination of the filly revealed no significant findings. Toowoomba 31/10/2018
Kitty Damour M. Palmer reported that the filly failed to quicken as expected when placed under pressure rounding the home turn and raced flat today. Jockey Palmer was of the opinion that the filly may have come to the end of its current racing preparation. Aquis Park Gold Coast 13/04/2019
American Love Began awkwardly, shifted out and made contact with MONTE SANTO. Stewards sought an explanation for the disappointing performance from Jockey A Allen who stated the mare failed to travel comfortably and was inclined to roll in and away from other runners and when placed under pressure in home straight, failed to respond to his riding. In his opinion the mare may have come to the end of current preparation. Post race vet exam, no abnormalities. Trainer advised mare to be sent for spell. Gold Coast 19/01/2019
Slightly Shady D. Smith reported that from the wider draw it was not his intention to lead, however, after beginning well, runners to his inside did not show the anticipated pace and as a result he elected to progress forward and take up the lead near the 1200m. Ipswich 25/02/2019
Too Hard To Call Overraced in the early stages. Shifted out after passing the 400m initiating contact with another runner whilst weakening. Sunshine Coast 16/12/2018
 
Race 5
Beau Arrow Raced 3 wide with cover in the early stages before commencing to hang out after passing the 800m, and then made the home turn extremely wide. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the off-hind leg. Trainer Mr. M. Dunn was advised that the horse will require a veterinary clearance prior to its next race start. Ipswich 24/10/2018
Don't You Know Him When asked to comment on the horse’s performance, B. Shinn explained that the gelding travelled reasonably well throughout in a favourable position and when asked for an effort in the home straight proved disappointing. Trainer T. Gollan advised that in light of today’s performance he will consider starting the gelding in races of lesser class than that of today’s event and have it ridden in a more positive manner. Invincible Tammy Rider stated mare travelled well until 800m, where it became under pressure to maintain its position behind leaders. Std in her opinion raced like a tired horse after a taxing preparation that included two float trips to race in the Sydney metropolitan area. Post-race vet exam - lost off-hind plate, no other abnormalities. Trainer reported mare was found to be lame in off-hind leg on return to stables & would be spelled - acting on this assurance no action was taken. Taree 14/01/2019

Ethanol Girl Travelled keenly throughout the early and middle stages. Laid in during the early part of the straight. Lismore 13/04/2019
Jessina Ran wide rounding the first turn. When questioned regarding the performance of the mare rdr that his mount enjoyed a comfortable run behind the leaders in the early and middle stages. Rdr added his mount was under pressure from the 600m and weakened in its run to the line. Rdr stated it was his mounts first attempt at the 1900m journey and in his opinion it failed to run it out. A post race veterinary examination of the mare did not reveal any abnormality. Ballina 08/04/2019

Pat's Girl Inconvenienced by HEART OF KINGS when that runner laid in under pressure approaching the 100m. Eased to avoid the heels of HEART OF KINGS approaching the winning post when that runner shifted in under pressure. Toowoomba 22/04/2019

A Little Crafty Began awkwardly. Overraced early and middle stages outside the leader. Trainer questioned re seemingly improved performance trainer - noted was second up from a spell today and it was gelding’s first start on a heavy track, which he attributed to today’s performance. Ipswich 24/04/2019
Cavalli Slow to begin. Rider questioned re riding rounding home turn - stated leaving 500m reluctant to shift wider to follow Spirit Of Cherokee as he was concerned it was not going to take him into the race, given its racing manners during early and middle stages. Elected to follow Dramatic Moments into race and as a result held up on the heels of that runner in early stages of home straight. Added upon straightening positioned to inside of heels of Heza Good Boy and unable to avail himself for a run to outside of that runner without steadying and losing ground at that point. Li'l Rodge Slow to begin. Apprentice N. Keal reported that he was disappointed in the performance, but added that the gelding is better suited when racing over greater distances than that of today’s race. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed no apparent abnormalities. Toowoomba 22/04/2019
Revere Apprentice N. Keal reported on returning to scale that his instructions were to settle in a position where comfortable, and then to shift wider on the track from the 600m to allow the gelding clear running over the concluding stages. He added that, after complying with these instructions, the gelding failed to finish the race off. Toowoomba 13/04/2019
Secret Agent Man Slow into stride. Approaching the winning post was tightened for room and had to be checked away from the heels of HOT SOCK, which shifted out Sunshine Coast 28/04/2019
