Vinasta Began awkwardly and made contact with the barrier partition and, as a result, settled further back in the field than anticipated. Jockey A. Fancourt could offer no explanation for the below market expectation performance other than that, in her opinion, the filly was not suited by being unable to obtain a forward position today. Biggie Passing the 400m became held up on heels and was unable to improve until shifting out around heels approaching the 150m. Ballina 10/06/2019

Etikaal Raced three wide without cover early before improving to a position outside the leader passing the 800m. Aquis Park Gold Coast 22/06/2019
Frankel Star Raced wide in the early stages before being ridden forward to take up the lead position near the 1000m. Sunshine Coast 09/06/2019
Genoa Slow to begin and bumped shortly after. Ran wide rounding the home turn. Ballina 10/06/2019
Kiriana Disappointed for a run near the 300m and as a result was obliged to shift back to the inside in an attempt to secure clear running. Over the concluding stages was tightened for room and had to be steadied when attempting to secure a run between TAMARIN and ULTIMATE RING, which shifted out under pressure. Jockey Orman, rider of ULTIMATE RING, was reprimanded for failing to stop riding and straighten when his mount was inclined to lay out under pressure. Soaring Heart Laid out under pressure in the home straight and made contact on a number of occasions with another runner. Jockey N. Day was advised to stop riding and straighten in similar circumstances. Sunshine Coast 09/06/2019

Lady Ringo Slow to begin. When asked to explain the seemingly improved performance of the filly, stable representative Mrs K. Doughty explained that the filly has always shown ability and at its recent starts prior to going for a spell acquitted herself well. In the lead up to today’s event the filly has worked and trialled well. Mrs Doughy further added that in light of that the stable expected a forward showing in todays event. Hi Fiver Checked shortly after the start, and lost ground when tightened for room. Had to be steadied near the 100m when tightened for room between SPIRIT’S PRIDE and ROAD TO HEAVEN which shifted out slightly. Toowoomba 22/04/2019
Lady McCabe Which was in the adjoining stall to TAMBO’S MATE also underwent a veterinary examination and was cleared to take its place in the field. Laid in for the majority of the event. Sunshine Coast 09/06/2019

Fourgrandman Overraced in the early stages. Hung out over the final 200m and unable to fully tested. Trainer was advised that a warning would recorded on the gelding’s racing manners. Lismore 29/12/2018

Nothdurft could offer no explanation for the seemingly disappointing performance of the gelding which he advised had commenced to weaken after travelling wide from the 400m. Big Buddie Raced wide throughout. Rider stated it raced flat and a post race vet exam revealed no abnormalities. Ararat 13/04/2019
Wookiee When asked to comment on the performance, jockey M. Du Plessis stated his mount travelled well in a favourable position until asked for a response on straightening and at that point became awkward in its action and weakened. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. Trainer’s representative Mr M. Henderson indicated they would have veterinary tests performed during the week and would report back to stewards the results. He also added that, in his opinion, the horse may not have appreciated the soft racing surface. Sunshine Coast 09/06/2019
Milly Will Party Bumped on jumping. Blundered near 700m. When questioned regarding the performance of the filly rdr stated that his mount failed to travel in the early and middle stages. Rdr stated his mount was under pressure passing the 600m and commenced to give ground rounding the home turn when not comfortable in the heavy conditions. When questioned, trainer stated that it was the filly’s first start for her stable and it was first up after a lengthy spell on heavy track conditions on which she did not believe it handled.
