When quest re perf. rdr stated mount was agitated prior to event & reluctant to load into the barriers in contrast to its previous start. Rdr stated that she intended to lead the event however her mount failed to must sufficient early speed & settled handy. Rdr stated she was required to continually encourage her mount along during the event to hold its posn & it was very disapp in its run to the line. Rdr stated her mount raced like a tired horse today & she did not believe appreciated the quick back up after its 1st up run on a heavy track. P/R vet exam no ab's.

A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Trainer S. Kendrick stated that he was satisfied with the gelding leading into today’s event and thought that it had performed well in two recent jump-outs at the Sunshine Coast. He added that the horse may not have appreciated today’s shifting surface. He advised that the gelding would undergo a veterinary examination in coming days. RIder questioned re performance - stated whilst the mare raced wide throughout once placed under pressure leaving the 500m he felt the horse was awkward in its action and for that reason did not place it under pressure after entering the home straight.
