Approaching the 1200m, commenced to overrace after being crossed and continued to race fiercely for a number of strides. Questioned regarding poor performance, jockey reported his mount travelled comfortably throughout, however when asked for an effort, failed to respond and ran to the line in a disappointing manner. Trainer stated that she could offer no explanation for the poor performance but would report back to stewards on the condition of ZEBLAN in the days subsequent. Trainer since reported ZEBLAN had pulled up well and would press on with its campaign at Mackay on 3/11.
