Raced wide without cover throughout the event. Rdr reported that the gelding felt uncomfortable in its action rounding the home turn and desisted from pressuring her mount in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be 1/5 lame in the off foreleg. Stable rep advised that the gelding would now be sent for a spell. Stable rep was advised that a Veterinary certificate would be required prior to racing again.

When questioned regarding the performance of the Gelding, Jockey A Butler stated in his opinion RAIDEN may not have appreciated the firm surface. He added that Raiden failed to travel throughout the event. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Trainer J Manzelmann stated that he was confident in the chances of the gelding leading into todays event. He added he would report back on the condition of RAIDEN in the subsequent days Trainer J Manzelmann reported that Raiden had pulled up well and intended to continue on with the gelding’s current preparation.
