Fazackerley advised that instructions given were to have the gelding settle in a midfield position if possible, however after travelling a short distance and being caught in a three wide position without cover, he was unable to settle the gelding and therefore allowed it to stride forward without pressure before obtaining a position three wide joint leader passing the 900m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have suffered a bleeding attack during the race. Trainer was advised as this was its first bleeding attack it would incur the mandatory 3 month ban from racing under AR53A and must gallop 1000m to the Stewards satisfaction before being permitted to race again.
