When questioned by Stewards questioned regarding the seemingly improved performance, trainer’s representative M. Jeynes advised that the gelding was fourth up from a spell today and was therefore at is optimum fitness. He added that the stable had also increased the gelding’s volume of trackwork which he felt was also a contributing factor to the horse’s improved performance today. Stewards noted the explanation.
