Slow to begin. When questioned, rider app stated that her mount was disappointing in that it was under pressure a long way from home and weakened in the straight. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding did not reveal any abnormality. Trainer advised that the gelding would now be sent for a spell and was told that it would be required to barrier trial before it would be permitted to race again given that it was beaten 27L.
