Pulled up by its rider approaching the 700m taking no further part in the event. Apprentice B. Mackie advised that in her opinion the gelding felt as though it has broken down and as a result, she elected to stop riding. A post –race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Due to the submission’s put forward by Apprentice Mackie and the advice of the on course veterinarian, Stewards advised Trainer W. Pugsley that the gelding would require a veterinary certificate and a 1000m gallop in front of stewards prior to returning to race.
