A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer was advised the mare must perform to the Stewards’ satisfaction in an official barrier trial prior to being permitted to race again.

Following the running of the event, Jockey J. Missen stated that after jumping away awkwardly, WARRUNBUNGLE failed to maintain a position with the rest of the field. He had also stated that the gelding resented the kick back of the dirt track. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.

Raced ungenerously in the early and middle stages. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed a trace of non- trauma related blood in the left nostril. Trainer J Bawden was advised that, under the provisions of AR79(8), the gelding is required to gallop 1000m satisfactorily in the presence of a Steward prior to again being permitted to start in a race.
