Connections advised that it would be the intention to limit the use of the whip on the gelding. Tightened between runners leaving the 800m. Trainer G. Livermore was advised that the gelding, which performed poorly today, will be barred from TAB venues until such time as its form improves to a satisfactory standard.

Trainer advised stewards that it was his intention to instruct his rider to attempt settle further forward in today’s event if circumstances permitted. Stood flat footed as the start was effected and as a result was slow to begin (10L). Trainer advised that the mare would be required to jump satisfactorily in a barrier trial prior to accepting for a future race.
