When questioned as to the below market expectation performance Jockey H Phillips advised her instructions were to lead, after being marginally slow to begin she had to pressure her mount in the early stages to settle outside the leader. Jockey Phillips further added the gelding travelled well until a point near the 300m however from this point commenced to yield ground and proved disappointing.
