Questioned regarding tactics. Rider stated his instructions were to ride his mount off the pace with cover, however after beginning well and travelling strongly, it raced comfortably in the lead and he was reluctant to restrain his mount.Trainer confirmed those instructions and further added that it will be her intention that the horse be ridden with cover in future starts.

Trainer advised stewards it will be his intention to have the gelding ridden back in the field from the wide barrier if circumstances permit. The horse was ridden accordingly. Was restrained at the start to take up a rearward position. Trainer was advised that the horse’s nomination would be refused at TAB venues until such time as its form improves by way of country meetings. Trainer added that it was now his intention for the horse to be sent for a spell.
