Hostile Owners  Near the 700m had to be steadied after improving on to heels. Raced wide throughout the event. Rider J. Stanley reported to stewards that whilst he was disappointed in the performance he felt the gelding would take benefit from the run and would improve with the addition of blinkers and a step up over further distances. Trainer M. Attard indicated to stewards he would consider adding blinkers for the gelding's next start.

Santa Fe Dreaming  Trainer advised stewards mare would be ridden more forward, with the removal of blinkers from its gear and the inside draw. Ridden accordingly. Reared prior to the start, was removed from the barriers, examined by the Club's veterinary surgeon and cleared to take its place in the field.
