Some Idea  Was slow to begin and lost significant ground. When questioned in regards to the poor performance, jockey N. Evans reported at scale that his mount did not handle today's track conditions and resented the kick back which contributed to the poor performance.

Princely  Stewards questioned Apprentice in regard to her ride. Apprentice said that she had been instructed to ride the gelding at the tail of the field. Trainer confirmed the instructions issued, however was surprised that the gelding was positioned as far back as it was. When asked why she did not attempt to improve her position, she said that she refrained from doing this as she was of the belief that the horse would over-race. Also of concern was the amount vigour shown in the home straight. Bearing in mind Apprentice's relative inexperience, Stewards referred her ride to the Riders Advisory Panel.  Townsville  24/03/2016 
Tints  App. L Dittman reported at scale that the mare did not respond to his riding prior to the 600m and was very disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities at the time of examination. Trainer B Currie stated that the mare may not have handled the firm track conditions today and indicated that consideration would be given to sending it for a spell.  Gold Coast  26/12/2015

Celtic Spell (NZ)  when questioned regarding below market performance rider D Hayse stated the colt failed to handle the sand conditions and resented the kickback when racing behind runners. A post-race vet examination revealed sand in the nostrils and trachea.  Bundaberg  19/03/2016

Chloride  Stewards questioned Jockey D. Evans in regard to the performance of the gelding. He said that after beginning well CHLORIDE was taken on for the lead and near the 500 metres commenced to yield ground and was disappointing. King Max  Raced in restricted room and had to check near the 1100 metres. Rounding the home turn had to be steadied away from another runner. Eljay Atom  Commenced to lay in near 900m, continued to do so near 700m despite efforts of rider, causing GOWER to lay out across heels of ELJAY ATOM. When corrected, shifted wider.  Rockhampton  12/03/2016
