Rider stated he was at a loss to explain the filly’s performance today and that it never travelled at any stage. Trainer advised stewards he was very disappointed with the performance as it had pleased him leading up to the event, adding it was the first time the horse had travelled from it's home track. A post race vet exam revealed no abs. Trainer since reported in the days subsequent that more thorough vet exams had shown no other abs, however noted that the filly may be in season.
