Began awkwardly and shifted out. Held up rounding the home turn. Rider A Butler reported that his mount never travelled throughout the event and failed to respond to his urgings. Trainer R Vale reported that he could offer no excuse for the poor performance but added that it is the first time he has travelled with the filly and she may not have handled the trip. Further added that he would now get bloods sent for analysis and report back to the stewards. Since the race, Trainer reported that blood tests revealed the filly to have a mild infection and would no be treated with anti-biotics.
