Gratsie Eased from the heels GRAND DE LAGO (R. Plumb) which shifted in near the 800m. Tightened for room and checked at the 350m by THIRD ROCK, which became unbalanced after shifting in abruptly when heavily bumped by MISHANI RULER (N. Tomizawa), which also shifted in at that point. Shifted in and made contact with the running rail leaving the 350m, before shifting out abruptly resulting in the rider becoming unbalanced. Dalby 12/12/2017

Race 6
De Villiers Trainer L. Baker explained that the gelding was having its second start for this stable, with its only other start in his care being over an unsuitable distance. He added for that reason he stepped the gelding up in distance for todays event, which he felt was to its advantage. He went on to say that the geldings poor recent form was when racing on grass surfaces and in his opinion when racing back on a sand surface today, was a contributing factor to the horses improved performance.
