Mohaka River Following Apprentice N. Morton being stood down and after exceeding to a request from trainer W. Baker, Jockey C. Bryen was permitted to ride five kilograms overweight due to no other rider being available. When questioned regarding the performance of the gelding jockey C. Bryen advised that in his opinion the pace was too fast for the horse in the early stages of today’s event. He added that when rounding the home turn, the pace weakened and he was able to make up ground quickly. He further added that in his opinion the gelding would be more suited to a longer distance. Fab's Cowboy Upon returning to scale Apprentice A. Thompson advised that the gelding failed to sprint as he expected over the concluding stages which he attributed to the large weight the gelding was required to carry in today’s event. Charleville 06/11/2018

Beat Street Checked when tightened for room at the start. Hung out badly approaching the first turn, resulting in DYLAN’S LUCK being taken wider, and then continued to hang out for a major part of the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be lame in the near foreleg. Connections were advised that the horse will require a veterinary clearance and must perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial prior to being permitted to race again Doomben 04/08/2018
Publishing Power After beginning well, the gelding was ridden forward to avoid being caught wide and, as a consequence, obtained the leading position which resulted in it racing further forward than its most recent starts. Toowoomba 31/10/2018
