Drummers Chance Slow to begin. Held up rounding the home turn and again in the early stages of the home straight. Stewards asked N. Day to comment on the horse’s performance. He stated that after beginning awkwardly, the horse lost further ground when he momentarily lost the use of an iron, which took a short distance to regain. He indicated that he would have liked to have been in a more forward position, however the horse did not muster early speed. He added that the horse finished the race off strongly and in his opinion would be suited to racing over a further distance than that of today’s event. Sunshine Coast 05/02/2017
Elmo's Fire Shifted out approaching the 400m, forcing another runner wider on the track. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had overreached and quartered its near fore heel. Ipswich 09/02/2017

Mishani El Lobo Bumped on the hind quarters near the 100m. Eagle Farm 04/02/2017
Jadedfox Briefly tightened for room after leaving the 600m and then bumped by a runner to its outside. Shifted out under pressure near the 300m and bumped another runner. Doomben 26/01/2017
Atomic Missile Rounding home turn shifted out to improve making contact with WHO’S MY DAD, which in turn shifted out making contact with TOECANARGIE MAN, which was forced wider. Trainer questioned re improved performance - stated gelding has been racing wide in its most recent starts however, today was able to obtain a position with cover and as a result was able to finish its race off. Justasaga Slow to begin (~2L). Passing the 600m was steadied after improving onto the heels. A post race veterinary examination of the gelding did not reveal any abnormality. Ballina 17/02/2017
Capo Di Tutti Connections advised that due to the awkward barrier the horse would be ridden back in the field. The horse was ridden accordingly. Awkwardly placed at heels passing the 600m and had to be steadied to avoid heels approaching the 500m and then raced greenly until entering the home straight. Sunshine Coast 05/02/2017
Black Denim A post-race veterinary examination of the filly did not reveal any abnormality. Nowra 28/06/2016

How Big's the Hole Near fore platehad to be refitted in the enclosure. On arrival at the barriers the horse was inspected by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to start. Ipswich 03/02/2017

Sorority Sister Slow to begin. Shifted out near the 200m and bumped another runner. Doomben 26/01/2017

Race 5
Produce Me Late Made contact with the enclosure fence and dislodged its near-fore plate. As trainer Mr L Curtis was of the view that the gelding’s behaviour was attributable to its resentment of its tongue-tie, an application made by Mr Curtis to remove the gear was allowed by Stewards and a public announcement was made. The gelding was subsequently re-plated at the start, examined by the Club’s veterinary officer and passed fit to start. Goulburn 20/11/2016

Bigmordrive Post-race the trainer advised that the gelding had been galloped on. Gold Coast 28/01/2017

Vaulting Ambition Apprentice J. Guthmann-Chester said that he would have preferred to have the horse settle in a more forward position. He added that the horse raced greenly throughout, had and a tendency to lay in in the home straight and would derive fitness benefit from today’s race. Sunshine Coast 05/02/2017
Omnia Marka Tayada As the horse had not raced for a considerable time it underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to start. Raced three wide throughout. Inclined to hang out rounding the home turn. Ipswich 03/02/2017

Portsea Finished tailed off. Rider M. Cahill indicated that the horse did not travel comfortably throughout the race and commenced to hang out near the 700m and made an abnormal respiratory noise post-race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be exhibiting cardiac arrhythmia. Trainer D. Hansen was advised that before racing again the horse must perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and the results of an ECG must be presented to stewards. Sunshine Coast 17/07/2016
