An examination of the horse by the attending yard Steward revealed the horse to have an abrasion on the outside of its nostril. A pre-race veterinary examination conducted on the horse confirmed the findings of the yard Steward, and also confirmed that there was no blood present in either of the horse’s nostrils. A secondary post-race veterinary examination again failed to reveal any blood present in either of the horse’s nostrils. Stood flat-footed at the start, and then failed to muster speed and lost valuable ground. Raced greenly throughout the event.
