Ecker Road Laid out under pressure in the home straight and had to be steadied from the heels of DUALLATOR, which also laid in over the concluding stages, resulting in ECKER ROAD not being fully tested to the line. Sunshine Coast 22/04/2018
Satan Da J. Byrne reported that although it had been his intention to possibly lead, his mount did not begin as well as anticipated and was quickly crossed in the early stages and then raced very greenly throughout the event, overraced onto heels on a number of occasions and had to be checked from heels near the 800m and again when held up for clear running between the 500m and the 400m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings other that it had a poor post-race recovery rate. Sunshine Coast 24/12/2017

Mandlakazi Jockey R. Stewart reported after beginning only fairly he took up a position at the tail of the field. He indicated that he would have preferred to be a length or 2 closer to the lead, adding that he was obliged to attempt to improve earlier than he would have liked as the horses he was trailing were not able to take him into the race in what he considered was a slowly run event. Jeunestroem Shifted in abruptly on jumping away and then was very difficult to control in the early stages, being inclined to lay in before weakening and finishing a distant last. Trainer D. Batters was advised that he must provide a further barrier certificate for the horse in a jump-out or trial prior to its next race start. Techno Savvy Pulled approaching and rounding the first turn. When qstd re performance, rider stated that his mount was slow to begin and settled further back than anticipated. Rider added that his mount was pushed three wide at the 700m and that his mount failed to respond strongly to pressure in the straight and weakened over the final 200m. Rider stated it was his mounts first attempt over 1600m and in his opinion, it failed to run out the distance today and was not suited to the quick back up.
