Passing 700m forced wider without cover and elected to ease to obtain cover. Added placed mare under pressure leaving 600m and finished race off well.

L. Cassidy reported that the horse weakened badly from the 300m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed lameness in the off foreleg. Connections were advised that the horse will require a veterinary clearance prior to racing again.

Rider explanation re riding tactics over final 600m - stated when bumped and forced wider by SHOW EM from 600m until approaching 500m elected to take hold and alter course towards running rail in order to save valuable ground rounding home turn. Added held up approaching and passing 200m and when able to get clear mount worked home strongly. Further added had he gone wider rounding home turn would have covered significant extra ground which would have been detrimental to his mount's chances.

Post race vet exam did not rev any abs. Trn since reported, was suffering from heat stress, will now be spelled & gelded.
