He indicated that the stable had expected a forward showing in today’s event, adding the mare had had a brief spell after performing poorly in Townsville on 21 July, which he believed could be attributed to the horse not travelling well in the trip to Townsville. He indicated prior to this, the horse’s form had been good and stated that at Doomben on 7 July the horse had worked hard when ridden forward to obtain the lead in the early stages from a wide barrier.
