When questioned regarding the performance, jockey L Dittman stated that his intentions were to race in a more forward position, but after suffering tightening at the start, he was forced to race in a rearward position. He added that the gelding failed to his respond to his riding throughout the event and in his opinion, the gelding may not have handled the track conditions. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

The license of J Lloyd was suspended for a period of nine (9) days to commence midnight 19th December up to and including midnight 28th December 2020.
