Commenced to weaken near the 400m, and raced in restricted room when SPALLINA hung out despite the efforts of its rider. Jockey E. Ljung observed on returning to scale that the throat lash on the gelding had come undone which she reported may have inconvenienced her mount throughout. She also reported that the gelding raced greenly throughout.
