When questioned regarding the disappointing performance, rider H Phillips stated her mount jumped well and although was trapped wide, still travelled well. She added however that when asked for an effort upon straightening, JETINTOIT failed to respond and was disappointing. She further stated that she decided not to place the gelding under further pressure over the concluding stages. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer R Shannon undertook to report back to stewards on the condition of the gelding in the days subsequent.

Apprentice was questioned regarding the mare’s performance. She stated that after jumping well her mount commenced to over race in the early stages and raced greenly thereafter. She added that her mnt began to settle approaching the straight however was disappointing in its efforts to finish off the race. Approaching the 1000m, while commencing to over race, had to be steadied and taken out and away from heels. A post-race examination revealed the mare to be lame in its off foreleg. Trainer advised a vet cert would be req before being permitted to trial/race. Since cleared to race.
