Began awkwardly and lost ground. Raced wide without cover for the majority of the event. Bumped by WITHOUT RISK approaching the 400m. Inconvenienced by WITHOUT RISK upon straightening when that runner shifted out. When questioned as to the horse’s performance, jockey Hammersley stated that the mare was unruly during the preliminary and in the barriers. He added that the mare travelled comfortably throughout the race and was quickly under pressure passing the 500m and proved disappointing.

When asked about the disappointing performance, apprentice reported the gelding was not suited by the soft track conditions. An irregular heart rhythm was detected on post-race veterinary examination. Gelding must be subject to examination by a veterinarian with specialist qualifications in equine internal medicine, prior to starting in any race or trial.

Near the 800m the mare laid in despite the efforts of Jockey P.Cullen, severely checking the running of TAPTHETILL. PREMIERE PLACE, which was racing to the outside of TAPTHETILL was also inconvenienced. Shortly after Jockey Cullen eased HOSTILE LILY out of the race. A post race vet inspection revealed the mare to be lame in the near foreleg.
