Lipp agreed with jockey Bogenhuber’s comments, and added that he may experiment with the addition of winkers and a tongue-tie to the horse’s gear.

He indicated his mount was making an abnormal respiratory noise and then weakened badly over the concluding stages. A post race veterinary examination revealed the horse was making an upper respiratory noise and cardiac arrhythmia. Connections were advised that the horse must undergo an endoscopic examination and an ECG, with results reported to stewards prior to trialling satisfactorily.

Ms Ainsworth agreed with stewards that after beginning better than anticipated she ought to have pressed forward initially to secure a position outside of ALLENA in the early stages.
