Alaska Underwent a veterinary examination behind the barriers after making contact with the outside fence during the preliminary and was cleared to start. Raced wide. Sunshine Coast 21/10/2018
Layla's Lad Raced 3 wide throughout. Apprentice S. Lacy reported that her mount had a tendency to hang in for the majority and proved difficult to ride out in the home straight. Toowoomba 20/10/2018

Big Jay Kay Tightened for room on jumping away and lost ground. Toowoomba 20/10/2018
Ashes to Ashes Hung out and was steadied to avoid heels near the 400m. Clifton 27/10/2018
Ubirr Rock Bumped by another runner and blundered shortly after the start. Apprentice B. Nothdurft reported that the colt did not feely entirely comfortable in its action over the concluding stages and, for this reason, he desisted from riding it out to the finish. A post-race veterinary examination of the horse revealed no apparent abnormalities. Toowoomba 20/10/2018
Costa Blanca Cast a near hind plate which was unable to be refitted and as such the mare was permitted to race with no hind shoes. Blundered at the start. Gold Coast 20/10/2018

Ruby Red Slippers Stood flat-footed as the start was effected and lost considerable ground. Trainer Mr. B. Currie was advised that he will be required to obtain a further barrier certificate for the mare prior to its next race start. Toowoomba 20/10/2018
 
Race 4
Hamburger When questioned by Stewards regarding the performance, jockey N. Tomizawa advised that he obtained a forward position in the early stages, however near the 600m his mount was placed under immediate pressure, failed to respond to his riding and yielded ground before tailing off. He added that the gelding did not feel comfortable in its action over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the gelding had sustained a laceration to its near hind leg, and that it was also was exhibiting a poor post-race recovery. Toowoomba 15/10/2018

Race 6
Amthaal Raced keenly in the early stages. Momentarily raced in restricted room to the inside of ALFIE JUNIOR whilst overracing passing the winning post on the first occasion. Apprentice L. Kilner and Trainer Mr. B. Currie both expressed the opinion that the mare had not backed up satisfactorily following its start at Doomben two days ago and, for that reason, it raced flat today. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be lame in the near fore leg. Trainer Mr. B. Currie was advised that the mare will require a veterinary clearance prior to being permitted to race again. Toowoomba 17/08/2018

French Jet Momentarily steadied to avoid the heels of another runner near the 150m. Stewards questioned jockey E. Ljung with respect to the gelding settling further forward than its most recent starts. Jockey E. Ljung advised that prior to the race she had expected to obtain a midfield position however, after beginning well, she elected to make use of the inside barrier and ride the horse along in the early stages to obtain a forward position.
