When questioned regarding performance, rider stated mount, which weakened in the straight, had sweated up prior to the event and the only other possible explanation for mount’s performance was that it may not have handled its big impost of 61kg. A post race vet exam rev no abs. Stable rep advised had pleased in the lead up to today’s race and a forward showing was expected and he expressed disappointment with its performance. He further undertook to have the stable report back to Stewards on a full veterinary examination including the results of an endoscopic examination.

App stated mount left flat footed when field sprinted & it weakened over final 200m. Tnr stated manner in which mare raced early was to detriment sustaining finishing effort. P/R vet exam no ab's.
