A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. Trainer G Arnold was advised a warning would be placed on the record of the gelding for hanging in.

When questioned regarding the seemingly improved performance, the stable representative for trainer K Geran reported that the Gelding was racing first up from a spell at its most recent start at Betoota on 27/8/22 and therefore obtained a fitness benefit from that run. He added that in today’s event the gelding was dropping significantly in class and with the addition of Blinkers to the horses gear the stable had expected a significantly improved performance.
