When questioned regarding performance, rider stated that his mount hung out throughout the event and on entering the home straight changed strides on a number of occasions. Adding that when attempting to use whip in the vicinity of the 100m mount changed strides again and became awkward in its action so elected to ride mount out hands and heels only over the concluding stages.
