Allabout Thatbass Jockey T. Brooker reported to Stewards that the gelding, after commencing to weaken from the 600m, had a tendency to lay in for the remainder of the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Toowoomba 09/02/2018
Courting Joy Hung in badly near the 1000m and had to be corrected before pressing on to race outside the lead. Shifted in abruptly near the 900m. Ipswich 28/02/2018
Gilded Lion Slow to begin. Held up leaving the 100m, shifted in in an attempt to secure clear running, however was unable to be fully tested to the line. Apprentice J. Murphy reported that his mount raced greenly throughout. Gatton 20/02/2018

Holus Bolus Inconvenienced near the 400m when MARINE CORPS shifted out slightly. Goondiwindi 24/02/2018

Leapin' Lena Held up nearing the home turn and then was steadied from heels near the 300m. Beaudesert 01/03/2018
Telford Rider L. McCoy explained that she was unable to gain a good grip on the reins which were worn and as a result raced in the centre of the track and rounding the home turn ran off. Goondiwindi 24/02/2018
 
Race 2
Starwood Near the 800m was tightened for room. Leaving the 600m had to be eased from heels when the pace steadied. Chinchilla 03/03/2018
King Ludwig Near the 800m was tightened for room, losing its' position. Chinchilla 03/03/2018
There's Nemo Commenced to lose ground after passing the 800m. Trainer Mr. S. Thomas advised Stewards that he will review the horses current preparation, and may send the gelding for a spell. Toowoomba 18/11/2017

Sonador Fire Dwelt as the start was effected and lost ground and, as a consequence, settled further back in the field than anticipated. Toowoomba 16/12/2017

Set Wait Laid in rounding the home turn. Gatton 20/02/2018

Mr Chow Caught wide in the early stages, and was restrained to a position closer to the rail at the rear of the field near the 800m. Toowoomba 17/02/2018
Rocky Nugget Dipped at the start and began awkwardly. Held up rounding the turn and in the early part of the straight. Ipswich 07/02/2018
Cash'n'run Tightened for room at the start and lost ground. Warwick 17/02/2018
Man Overboard Rider reported that the gelding failed to handle the soft track conditions. Nanango 24/02/2018
Karaharaga Held up approaching the 300m and until the 80m where it was able to shift in to obtain clear running. Gatton 23/09/2017

Almazan Caught wide approaching the first turn before being ridden forward to obtain a position outside the leader passing the 800m, and from that point commenced to overrace despite the efforts of its rider. Hay Life Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Had to be steadied when placed in restricted room approaching the 600m. Warwick 26/12/2016

Wonder Boom Shifted in approaching the 700m and bumped another runner. Had a tendency to lay in passing the 650 despite the efforts of its rider. Rockhampton 08/02/2018
Princess Snowy Began awkwardly. Raced three wide without cover throughout. Gatton 20/02/2018
Tedder Avenue Raced 3 wide with cover throughout. Toowoomba 24/02/2018
Prossimita When questioned regarding the horse’s seemingly improved performance, trainer J. Anderson advised that although the gelding raced greenly and was forced wider on the home turn at its previous start at Ipswich, she was not disappointed with its performance on that occasion. She added that since then the horse had pleased her in its work leading up to this event and she had expected a forward showing. She further added that in her opinion the horse performs better on tracks other than Toowoomba and indicated that the gelding would now be sent for a spell. Gatton 20/02/2018
