RACE ONE

SMART AS CAMM BE (1) was well supported in the market when making her debut off the 2nd line and was closing out strongly to grab the bronze behind MAYWYN NO REGRETS. With the experience and improvement from that run and the front-line gate she can cash-in.

GODDESS JUJON (2) is a 1st starter by Mr Feelgood out of the unraced mare Bonny Art. Trained by the state’s leading trainer Grant Dixon, the filly trialled well to prepare and with the good alley is in the mix.

CAPITALIZE (5) is a Mr Feelgood gelding on debut for trainer Mark Dux out of the mare Our Lillyfield, making him a half-brother to the handy mare COVERT BEAUTY. His two trials have been good and he stays under a market watch.

AMILLION PROMISES (4) got out of the gate well last start from gate 6 and displayed good early speed and closed out in good order for 2nd to MAYWYN NO REGRETS. With further experience and improvement he is in the mix

SELECTIONS: SMART AS CAMM BE (1), GODDESS JUJON (2), CAPITALIZE (5), AMILLION PROMISES (4)
SUGGESTED BET: SMART AS CAMM BE (1) to win

RACE TWO

MY AJAYE (1) rolled forward to take control over the 2138m trip here 4 starts back and once in control was a comfortable 7m winner. His next 2 were in harder line-ups from 2nd line gates and last start was run down in an Apsirational. In this line-up from this gate he will be looking to dictate.

SLIPASLYGRIN (5) worked hard in the run last start at Marburg on Saturday and faded in the closing stages. His run 3 starts back when working in the run when facing the breeze was a tidy effort and despite the tricky gate he is some chance in this field.

PARTY STARTER (4) has been off the 2nd line at each of her past 3 starts where she has been able to claim the bronze in 2 of those. From this gate she can look to find good early position and with this no harder than what she has been meeting can fill the placings again.

PUNTERS DELIGHT (7) will take good benefit from his latest run when resuming from a freshen. Settling in the running line he worked home in good order behind FIRE UP FRANCO. Despite the wide gate the small field will help his chances.

SELECTIONS: MY AJAYE (1), SLIPASLYGRIN (5), PARTY STARTER (4), PUNTERS DELIGHT (7)
SUGGESTED BET: MY AJAYE (1) to win

RACE THREE

STATEMENT MADE (3) was looking to land his 4th successive victory last time out. Sent forward to look for the front he was able to find the pocket trail but was no match for the swoopers to finish 3rd when 4m from the winner. He can look to take control here and prove hard to run-down.

BET IM SPECIAL (2) won a qualifier 2 starts back when taking a narrow victory from the pocket trail in a small field over the 2138m trip. Buried away last start he didn’t get a proper shot when finishing mid-field. From this gate he is right in the fight.

RARING TO GO (1) was shooting for the hat-trick here 2 starts back after wins over the 2138m and then the 1780 at Redcliffe. He struck some handy performers last start when looking to take them all the way and run down in the closing stages. He won’t be far away again.

LANCELOT BROMAC (4) has been below his best of late, but finds himself in a race easier to what he has been meeting. His run on Sat saw him fade out after working in the run in a race taken out by JACKAROO BROMAC. That form gets him in well here.

SELECTIONS: STATEMENT MADE (3), BET IM SPECIAL (2), RARING TO GO (1), LANCELOT BROMAC (4)
SUGGESTED BET:  STATEMENT MADE (3) to win

RACE FOUR

CIRCLE LINE (1) was a winner 5 starts back over the mile when leading all the way and ripping home a strong closing 800m split. He has met some handy ones in the 4 starts since that win including a good effort when looking to lead all the way over this trip and finishing 8m from STATEMENT MADE.

SUBTLE DELIGHT (7) gets no favours from the gate again and will need a slice of luck, however the smaller field size will work in his favour. Unable to find position last week he was snagged back and was working home wide out. With better luck he can feature.

MONIVAE (2) didn’t have any early speed at Redcliffe 2 starts back over the 2040m trip and once he was eventually sent forward to the front he couldn’t hold on and was grabbed up the passing lane. From the gate he can look to find early position and has podium hopes.

JACKS AT THE BEACH (3) does his best at the mile, however has been able to place at 2 of his past 5 starts and they were both over this trip. His run 5 starts back when working in the run had merit when 2nd to KARLOO MAC and if he applies the acid here, he will let the know he is in the race.

SELECTIONS: CIRCLE LINE (1), SUBTLE DELIGHT (7), MONIVAE (2), JACKS AT THE BEACH (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

PINUP BOY (3) resumes from a break after a 5 start campaign to begin his 3YO season. A winner 3 starts back when rolling forward from gate 6 to find the front and then control the speed, his prep was finished off with a 3rd and then 2nd, both behind FAME ASSURED in a Gold Pot series. He has trialled well and can display his class here.

PHOTOZEN (10) started from inside the 2nd line last start and not prepared to risk a pocket was into the running line early. Working home strongly he arrived for the win in good style. He will need a slice of luck again from this gate but look for him working home strongly.

TUESDAYS FELLA (8) will need a slice of luck form this gate but if able to see space in time is right in contention. Taken back from gate 7 last start he was closing out strongly to claim the bronze when 3.5m from PHOTOZEN. Just needs the right luck.

GETOUTNWALK (4) has been in the top 3 at each of her past 5 starts and thanks to great gate speed can get herself into the right position in her races. Leading out from gate 5 last start she was running along at a good tempo and it was only the smart RED CHARMER and DARBY BRIGHTS that could get past.

SELECTIONS: PINUP BOY (3), PHOTOZEN (10), TUESDAYS FELLA (8), GETOUTNWALK (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

JUST SAY GO (1) was in the same race as BANGKOK BRAVADO last week and from the 2nd line found good position in the running line and went within 3m of the winner. An all the way winner 4 starts back at Redcliffe over the 2040m trip, he is a handy customer and will look to dictate here.

BANGKOK BRAVADO (2) looked to take them all the way over the mile from this same gate last week when starting fav. With a 2nd stanza breather he looked to have it in the bag until run down in the closing stages by ONLY ONE PROMISE. If he needs to work in the run a place will be his chance.

THE HARLEM HAMMER (5) has started off the 2nd line at each of her past 3 starts and been working home well in each of those runs. Prior to that she secured successive wins including a Rising Stars heat when leading throughout from gate 2. If she can find good position she will be charging late.

OASIS DREAM (10) has claimed the bronze at his past 2 starts with the latest a good effort when looking to lead all the way from gate 1 over this trip. His run 2 back was a big effort when 3 wide all the way and he can feature in this.

SELECTIONS: JUST SAY GO (1), BANGKOK BRAVADO (2), THE HARLEM HAMMER (5), OASIS DREAM (10)
SUGGESTED BET: JUST SAY GO (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

A GOOD CHANCE (1) lands his best gate for some time and with good early speed can look to take full advantage. On Sat night from gate 5 he pressed ahead and doing the work in the breeze fought hard to finish 7m from the winner. Dictating from the front here he will be hard to stop.

FIFTH EDITION (8) had been good at his 1st 2 Qld starts and not been far away in each. Last start at Redcliffe he looked to have found his race but just missed when a narrow 2nd to ANNIKA MAGIC. With the cosy trip here he can take the closing shot.

COLD IDEAL (4) isn’t having the greatest run of luck and last start was leading the 3-wie train in a strongly run contest taken by ANOTHER BROADWAY. With a closer gate than his past few, he can look to settle closer to the action and if limiting the work load can feature on the podium.

CHERISH THE MOMENT (5) resumes from a freshen after having 5 starts back from a spell where she didn’t really fire in the same way she has previously. Prior to that spell she was in top form including a win in the Fleur De Lil mares feature. At her best she could take this.

SELECTIONS: A GOOD CHANCE (1), FIFTH EDITION (8), COLD IDEAL (4), CHERISH THE MOMENT (5)
SUGGESTED BET: A GOOD CHANCE (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

THATS HOW WEROLL (8) was buried away along the pegs last start and when he saw space sprinted sharply to get within 1.5m of the winner BETTOR BE LUCKY. That followed a luckless run when making an error. He follows a sharp beginner and will be coiled and ready to strike.

INVINCIBLE LOXTON (5) returned from a freshen last start and will take good benefit from the run when finishing a 5m 3rd to ROCK WITH SAM. His run prior to going for a break was a top effort when working hard in the run and if able to get forward into the contest can issue the challenge.

JOSSIE JAMES (9) had been around the money but unable to breakthrough in recent starts until last time out she sprinted sharply down the stretch to grab the win on the line. From the 2nd line she will need a slice of luck to settle close enough and will be charging late.

BETTOR BE LUCKY (6) started from inside the 2nd line last start and with the cosy trip over the 2138m was able to out-sprint them up the stretch to score a tidy win. A tough winner from this gate 3 starts back when rolling forward to the breeze, he will be in the fight.

SELECTIONS: THATS HOW WEROLL (8), INVINCIBLE LOXTON (5), JOSSIE JAMES (9), BETTOR BE LUCKY (6)
SUGGESTED BET: THATS HOW WEROLL (8) to win
