RACE TWO

NOT ALWAYS (2) has been beaten a long way at his past 2 starts but made errors in the run on both occasions. Banished to the trials where he has performed well on 2 occasions he returns to the races in an event where he can look for the pegs and if able to light the lamps will take some catching.

LONG LEGS LOU (7) looks likely to be buried away but if she does manage to land leaders back her stocks will rise and she will be poised for the last shot. Runner-up her past 2 from this same alley she is right in the mix.

WEDDING NIGHT (1) secured 2nd placing in successive starts here over this trip, the 2nd of those when best of the chasing pack behind COREY WILLIAM. From the gate she gets the options and is a trifecta player in this line-up.

VELOCE BELLA (3) started from a 2nd line gate here 2 starts back and came with a well-timed run to arrive for the prize. Too far back from gate 5 last start she is right in contention with the right trip.

SELECTIONS: NOT ALWAYS (2),LONG LEGS LOU (7), WEDDING NIGHT (1), VELOCE BELLA (3)
SUGGESTED BET: Flexi trifecta 1-2-3-7

RACE THREE

GOTTA GO RALPHIE (2) rolled forward from gate 5  over the 1780m here 3 starts back and worked hard in the breeze when only 4m from OUR DIAMOND EDITON. He again did his share of work over the 2200m trip at Marburg last start. This type of race suits and he gets his chance to roll forward and dictate.

DOOLITTLE DOOFY (1) looked to take them all the way last start off this same gate but couldn’t see it out when 8m in arrears of the winner. This looks the trip to take the trail and with the cosy run can be ready to fire the last shot.

COAST WARNING (6) is having a tough run from the barriers and lands another wide alley. He has been working home fairly his past few and if able to settle handy without burning too much early he will come into calculations.

WRITEABOUTCHELSEA (3) was a short-priced elect when looking to lead all the way here 4 starts back and was gunned down. Off the 2nd line at her past 3 she gets back to the front here and that should see an improved performance.

SELECTIONS: GOTTA GO RALPHIE (2), DOOLITTLE DOOFY (1), COAST WARNING (6), WRITEABOUTCHELSEA (3)
SUGGESTED BET: GOTTA GO RALPHIE (2) to win

RACE FOUR

TRIJET (4)
makes his Qld debut and arrives from the Hunter Valley of NSW where he has been around the money in recent starts. His last start had merit when looking to work home in the closing stages and with good early speed he can look to sweep across the field early to dictate.

SKYLARHAIN (8) was buried away along the pegs last start and when she saw space in the closing stages was starting to wind up and close strongly to grab the silver. Her run 4 starts back in a Rising Stars Final was good and she will be right in the mix.

FALCON VISTA (3) has been in the money at 3 of his past 5 starts with the latest when working home from well back to claim the bronze. From this gate he can look to take up a prominent position and will be in the mix.

JOEY TEE (9) was a big winner at Marburg when stepping out in Qld for the 1st time and then was overcooked last start when burning in a 27.6 opener at AP last time. With the right cart into the contest he can feature in the exotics.

SELECTIONS: TRIJET (4), SKYLARHAIN (8), FALCON VISTA (3), JOEY TEE (9)
SUGGESTED BET: TRIJET (4) to win

RACE FIVE

OYSTER STRIDE (2) shoots for the hat-trick after successive wins here over the 1780m trip. Last start from gate 4 he pressed ahead to find the front and once there controlled the speed for a comfortable 16m victory. He will be looking to fight them off again.

MONUMENTAL (1) looks best placed to shuck the Oyster and will be coiled and ready to strike when the passing lane presents. 8m from the winner RARING TO GO here 3 starts back when taking inside runs, his latest run over the 2138m at AP was solid behind JOSSIE JAMES. He is a massive threat.

CELTIC CRUZA (6) added another minor to his tally last start when pressing forward from gate 5 and working hard in the run when 5m from the winner CALCAVADO. He can apply the heat again and will be fighting hard.

WEE JIMMY (4) started fav last time out in a 2nd div Aspirational event when starting from gate 7 and was too far back to challenge. He found the line nicely 2 starts back and if the pressure is too strong can be closing late.

SELECTIONS: OYSTER STRIDE (2), MONUMENTAL (1), CELTIC CRUZA (6), WEE JIMMY (4)
SUGGESTED BET: OYSTER STRIDE / MONUMENTAL (1/2) quinella

RACE SIX

BUDDY BABCOCK (8)
just keeps running good races without delivering the knockout blow. Placed at his past 6 in succession he loomed up last week in the horrendous conditions and looked ready to score but fell a half-head short. His run 3 starts back was good and this looks his chance to breakthrough.

FEELINGFORAMIRACLE (9) has been top 3 including a pair of wins in 6 starts this preparation. Those efforts have all been from wide gates owing to his starting manners and despite earning his ticket back to the main draw will start wide once again. He worked home well for the victory last start and is right in the fight again here.

MAJOR TRALEE (4) was 2nd up in Qld last start when taken back from gate 4 to watch the race infold and then when let-down attacked the line strongly for a nice win. With similar tactics again he will be flashing home.

ROCKNROLL PROMISE (3) pressed ahead from gate 2 to find the front here over the 2040m 2 starts back and was grabbed on the line to go under by a head. He was closing out well last week when only a half-neck from BONNIE JUJON and is right in this.

SELECTIONS: BUDDY BABCOCK (8), FEELINGFORAMIRACLE (9), MAJOR TRALEE (4), ROCKNROLL PROMISE (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

CROWNING GLORY (1) started from gate 1 in a 2nd division qualifier 2 starts back and from the pocket trail used the passing lane to get within 2m of the winner. His run last start was a good effort when taken back and then probing for runs and with the cosy trip can take the last shot here.

MY MASTERCRAFTSMAN (3) will be further tightened from his latest start when 2nd up from a break. Finishing 3rd behind ANOTHER BROADWAY he did some early work to get across to find position. He might have to do some work in the run here but is a classy customer at his best.

PALE BEAR BOO (2) has been setting Redcliffe alight and was given his shot in a qualifier last time after 5 wins and 3 minors in his past 8 outings. He gets back to the triangle and from the good gate which both suit and he can roll forward and look to fight off the challengers.

SHEZABONNYGEM (7) worked hard in the run last start and fought on gamely to be only 2m from the winner RUATO BAY. Likely to be buried away here she will be searching for the gaps.

SELECTIONS: CROWNING GLORY (1), MY MASTERCRAFTSMAN (3), PALE BEAR BOO (2), SHEZABONNYGEM (7)
SUGGESTED BET: CROWNING GLORY (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

THE GUN ROCKSTAR (10)
has the tough gate to overcome yet should find this easier than his last outing in an Aspirational event at AP. Sent forward he could not find position and then couldn’t see space when needed in the closing stages. He looks to get every chance in this line-up.

THE FRAME (6) also has a tricky gate to negotiate as he looks to make it 5 wins from his previous 6 starts here at Redcliffe. Sent forward from the 2nd line to work in the breeze last start he was too strong to score a 6m victory. He will be right in the fight.

ITS ALL GO (1) was buried away on the pegs here last time out and was hitting the line in good style to be 5m from the winner FEELINGFORAMIRACLE. With the options from the ace gate he gets his chance to finish in the money.

SPLASH OF GOLD (4) added another minor to her tally last start when finishing 7m from the winner THE FRAME. That made it 17 from 22 this season in the top 3 and with the right trip here will be in the exotics once again.

SELECTIONS: THE GUN ROCKSTAR (10), THE FRAME (6), ITS ALL GO (1), SPLASH OF GOLD (4)
SUGGESTED BET: THE GUN ROCKSTAR (10) to win
