RACE TWO

ART SUNSET (4) has faced the starter on 3 occasions with her past 2 best to be forgotten. On debut she was strong from the breeze and fought to the line when 4m from the winner ETERNAL PROMISE and at her past 2 has struck trouble and been out of play. She can re-group and look to cash-in.

TACTFILLY MAGIC (2) was snagged back early when unable to find position at Redcliffe 3 starts back and then tracked home well to get within 2m of the winner ZARAS ALL SMILES. She followed that with a strong finish up the passing lane and last start was doing her best work late. This appeals.

IMPRESSIVE DIAMOND (5) did her share of work in the early stages 2 starts back and was closing out nicely when within 2m of the winner ALOT OF COST. Striking trouble last start, she is in the mix here.

SHESFEELINPRECIOUS (6) will take further benefit from her latest start when 2nd up form a break and working home soundly from back in the pack after starting form the 2nd line. She has podium hopes.

SELECTIONS: ART SUNSET (4), TACTFILLY MAGIC (2), IMPRESSIVE DIAMOND (5), SHESFEELINPRECIOUS (6)
SUGGESTED BET: ART SUNSET (4) to win

RACE THREE

MAHALO (4) has been freshened since her last appearance when finishing down the line over the Redcliffe sprint trip. Her form had tapered off through the hotter months with her last win coming back in October when leading throughout from gate 1. In a tricky contest she is worth a shot at the stumps on the map of her finding the front.

ROLLING ALONG (8) would only need to see space and the right amount of luck to throw down a strong challenge in this line-up. 2 starts back he chased home from the pocket trail for the silver behind JUST ROKIN and forget his last start at Marburg. He will be looking for the closing shot.

STUDLEIGH STRIDE (6) makes a Qld debut for visiting trainer Leigh Davis. This is much easier than his last outing at Bathurst and if bringing the form that saw him 2nd to TACT BESS 3 starts back he can give this a shake.

LAZY BLAZE (3) resumes from a break after only facing the starter twice last prep. Finding the pocket trail from gate 2 last start he held on for 3rd to WAVEDANCER and from the gate has place hopes.

SELECTIONS: MAHALO (4), ROLLING ALONG (8), STUDLEIGH STRIDE (6), LAZY BLAZE (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

ARK PATROL (6) has a tricky alley but the small field and any early tempo will certainly work in his favour. Pressing forward to find the front here 2 starts back he fought to the line when grabbed late up the passing lane. Too far back last start and chasing against the speed, he will be in the mix here.

LURAH (5) found running line cover from gate 10 at Redcliffe 2 starts back and was able to finish over the top to claim a comfortable 12m victory. Buried away last start, look for her swooping.

JUST ROKIN (4) is on the back-up from Fri and comes into this with a slight query at the 2138m trip. She fond the line nicely 2 starts back when 3rd to ROYAL LINCOLN and can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: ARK PATROL (6), LURAH (5), JUST ROKIN (4)
SUGGESTED BET: ARK PATROL (6), to win

RACE FIVE

ZARAS ALL SMILES (4) makes her AP debut after all 7 career starts have been on the triangle at Redcliffe. Angled to the pegs for the short-cuts 3 starts back she was attacking the line strongly when only 2m from the winner and franked that with a win at her next start. Striking trouble last time, she can capitalise.

GIVE ME A GO (8) was able to sneak into the pocket trail from gate 3 last start and from there chased hard to hold on for 2nd to ALOT OF COST and only beaten 1m. A winner from the trail 3 starts back, he should get the soft trip again here and ready to produce when the gaps arrive.

SAMS THE BEST (7) had placed in 2 of 5 outings leading into his run at AP on Fri night. He has good speed off the arm when let slide and if given his orders early here could possibly give some cheek in front.

WHATA STRIDE (5) racked up another placing last start as she still searches for an elusive maiden breaking win. She was hitting the line strongly after being buried in the run and can be chiming in again here.

SELECTIONS: ZARAS ALL SMILES (4), GIVE ME A GO (8), SAMS THE BEST (7), WHATA STRIDE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: ZARAS ALL SMILES (4) to win

RACE SIX

SWAFFHAM WATER (8)
started from this gate on Thurs and after being shuffled to 4 back along the poles sprouted wings in the stretch to get within a half-neck of the winner. Her run from gate 6 over the 2040m at Redcliffe 2 starts back had merit and if hitting the passing lane with momentum she can arrive.

WEE JIMMY (9) paid 27.4 sec for the lead last start in a Perseverance over the AP mile with the price 1 metre too high as he was swamped in the stretch to hold a narrow 3rd. The start prior he tracked home in good order after being buried in the run and with even luck he can throw down a challenge here.

NIKALONG HENRY (7) has no favours from the outside rail, yet he is racing well. On the back-up from Fri where he had the tough gate owing to his starting error 2 runs back, he had placed his 2 runs leading into Fri. Look for him swooping late.

FUTURE FUN (2) was tough from the breeze last start and was still swinging when beaten 2m over the Redcliffe sprint trip. He can work in his races and might need to from this alley but is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: SWAFFHAM WATER (8), WEE JIMMY (9), NIKALONG HENRY (7), FUTURE FUN (2)
SUGGESTED BET: SWAFFHAM WATER (8)

RACE SEVEN

NEWPORT DREAMZ (6) lands slightly wider than ideal but he might have enough edge over those inside him to force the issue early and find the pegs. Never on the track last start and wide all the way, it was a tidy effort in a 2nd division qualifier and the start prior he was squeezed at the wrong moment. This looks a chance to turn his fortunes around.

MACHEASY (12) has the tough gate but probably brings the best form into the contest. A 2nd division qualifying winner 5 starts back when set alight to find the pegs form gate 7, his next 3 were sound runs. On the back-up from Sat night where he looked to be a solid hope, he can work home strongly here.

KYMS BOY (2) will strip fitter following his latest run when resuming from a break. Snagged back from gate 6 over the Redcliffe sprint trip, he was finishing just behind them. Settling handy from the gate he will be thereabouts.

VANDE VELDE (8) will need some factors in his favour from this alley but fi sighting space in time can be chiming in late. He worked too hard last start from gate 6 over the 2040m trip and will appreciate a softer run here.

SELECTIONS: NEWPORT DREAMZ (6), MACHEASY (12), KYMS BOY (2), VANDE VELDE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: NEWPORT DREAMZ (6) to win
