RACE TWO

TULHURST ACE (3) will take good benefit from his Qld debut here last week when forced to do it the tough way in the breeze over the sprint trip. In for the fight he was only 2m from the passing lane winner NEWMERELLA SHARKIE and this looks his shot at opening his Qld account.

GOTTA GO JAZZY JET (5) was a scratching last week after looking to make her Qld debut. In search of a hat-trick of victories, her last start was an all the way win from gate 5 around the old Wagga track. Trialling sharply in preparation for this, she can feature and will be worth following.

MISTER BLACKJACK (4) was snagged back in the early stages last start from gate 5 and then didn’t have any luck when probing for openings. Not beaten far 2 starts back, he can chime in here.

EARL JUJON (11) made the most of the pocket trail at Redcliffe last start and sprinted clear to claim an 8m victory. With even luck in transit he can be offering late.

SELECTIONS: TULHURST ACE (3), GOTTA GO JAZZY JET (5), MISTER BLACKJACK (4), EARL JUJON (11)
SUGGESTED BET: TULHURST ACE (3) to win

RACE THREE

RIVERLEIGH ROCKET (1) took on a stronger race here mid-week and releasing the front from gate 1 wasn’t far away from the winner THE SHADY ONE. His effort 2 starts back was a tidy return when off the 2nd line and with the benefit of gate 1 against this opposition he can look to capitalise.

RANFURLY RULZ (8) looked to take them all the way at Redcliffe 2 starts back and was only gunned down in the closing stages. Last start from gate 9 he was angled to the pegs for the short-cuts and wasn’t far away behind CASTALONG SHADOW. Coiled and ready he can strike in the stretch.

TAKITIMU EXPRESS (3) was working home from back in the pack in good order on Wed night at Redcliffe when not far away. Only beaten a half-neck here 3 starts back he can be offering late.

TELL THE LINESMEN (6) was snagged back from gate 7 over the 2138m trip last start and in a smart closing 800m was attacking the line strongly. Only beaten a head 2 starts back he can feature here.

SELECTIONS: RIVERLEIGH ROCKET (1), RANFURLY RULZ (8), TAKITIMU EXPRESS (3), TELL THE LINESMEN (6)
SUGGESTED BET: RIVERLEIGH ROCKET / RANFURLY RULZ (1 / 8) quinella

RACE FOUR

LINCOLN ROAD (1)
led them up from this gate last start over the 2138m trip and after a steady opening 800 ramped the tempo only to be gunned down via the passing lane. A winner in slick time when lighting the lamps here 3 starts back, the return to the mile is a plus and he can dictate.

CASTALONG SHADOW (3) rolled forward from gate 4 last start and content to cut the breeze proved too strong over the mile in a career best winning rate. Fitter from the run after being 2nd up from a break, he will likely need to roll the sleeves again here and will be in for the fight.

CASINO GRIN (8) was a sharp winner here 4 starts back when leading throughout over the 2138m trip. He hasn’t had conditions to suit since that run and with a cosy trip on offer here can place.

COURAGEOUS LEO (4) found running line position from the 2nd line over the mile here last start and chased home well to grab the bronze. Settling handy, he can be around the money one again.

SELECTIONS: LINCOLN ROAD (1), CASTALONG SHADOW (3), CASINO GRIN (8), COURAGEOUS LEO (4)
SUGGESTED BET: LINCOLN ROAD (1) to win

RACE FIVE

INNOCENT CROCKER (10) was catching a ride home wide off the track last start but was facing a task wit some solid closing fractions being carved out in front. Rolling forward to take control here 2 starts back, she was only grabbed late by CLARRY and with even luck can finish over the top here.

OPONONIS BLISS (2) worked to the front from gate 3 here 2 starts back when resuming from a break and after a solid tempo was collared in the closing stages. Chasing last start she couldn’t work into the contest and with the improved gate can look to get forward here.

CHARLYSE (8) will need a slice of luck in transit from the gate but with the gaps arriving can be hitting the line late. Luckless last start when probing for gaps, she can chime in.

MAMMALS MAGIC (6) has been in the money at her past 6 in succession and last start from the pocket trail held 2nd behind TWITTER BROMAC. The gate hurts but with even luck she can feature.

SELECTIONS: INNOCENT CROCKER (10), OPONONIS BLISS (2), CHARLYSE (8), MAMMALS MAGIC (6)
SUGGESTED BET: INNOCENT CROCKER (10) to win

RACE SIX

RUATO BAY (1)
was an all the way winner at Redcliffe 5 starts back when rolling forward and once in control put them away by a big margin. Too far back when chasing at his next 2 starts, his run 2 starts back was a tidy effort and with the benefit of the gate will get his chance to capitalise.

THE GOLDEN CROSS (3) is on the back-up from Wed night where he was in the pocket trail and chased home to grab the silver. Only run-down in the latter stages 2 starts back when looking to lead throughout, he can settle handy from this gate and throw down the challenge.

HARD TO HEAR (7) has no favours from this gate but with a slice of luck going his way can be chiming in to the contest. Only 5m from the winner last start time out, he can feature here.

MISTER HART (10) held the pocket trail at Redcliffe 2 starts back but couldn’t go on with it. Not suited last start from gate 6 on Wed night, he can chime into the exotics in this line-up.

SELECTIONS: RUATO BAY (1), THE GOLDEN CROSS (3), HARD TO HEAR (7), MISTER HART (10)
SUGGESTED BET: RUATO BAY (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

NEEDLE (11) started from a 20m tape last start and was working home wide off the track when 9m from the winner after starting as fav. She will take good benefit from the run after resuming from a freshen after a strong win over the 2138m stand. With a strong mobile record she can arrive,

QUIETLY SPOKEN (5) pressed forward from the 20m tape last start to work to the breeze and after the tough run on the sloppy track wilted in the closing stages. A smart winner here 2 starts back, she has good speed from the mobile and can get in the right position to challenge.

GEE UP NEDDY (4) is approaching 12 months since his last victory, yet his runs in recent outings have been strong. Only 5m from the winner 2 back, his last start had merit after making an error and he is in the mix.

MIRACLE RISING (3) has 2 wins from 5 attempts under mobile conditions and should be further tightened from his latest outing. His last win was 5 starts back from the mobile and can go close.

SELECTIONS: NEEDLE (11), QUIETLY SPOKEN (5), GEE UP NEDDY (4), MIRACLE RISING (3)
SUGGESTED BET: NEEDLE (11) to win

RACE EIGHT

GLENFERRIE HOOD (5)
started fav last time out over the mile and in the small field went back early. Powering home over the top to a smart victory, he recorded his 9th win for the season. Only beaten a head from the walk-ups 2 starts back, he looks to have the edge on his opponents.

WATCH PULP FICTION (1) slid back last week and tracked into the race when 1.5m from GLENFERRIE HOOD. That followed a smart mid-week win when finishing hard from back in the pack to claim a stylish victory. With the options from the gate, he looms as the main threat.

ALLELUIA (2) used the passing lane to arrive here 3 starts back and then wasn’t suited from gate 6 at his next start. He found the line in good style last week and is in the mix here.

SELECTIONS: GLENFERRIE HOOD (5), WATCH PULP FICTION (1), ALLELUIA (2)
SUGGESTED BET: GLENFERRIE HOOD (5) to win

RACE NINE

ALBION ARK (4)
was a debut winner when spearing out to find the front and controlling the speed was never in danger. He found the front in the Breeders Classic last start when fading in the stretch.

GOOD AS IT GETS (3) has finished down the line in bot appearances to date, however perhaps there is a lead to his chances with trainer Grant Dixon opting to take the reins over his other 7 runners.

GUY LOOKS GOOD (9) was buried away in the run on debut when chasing home soundly for 3rd behind MERAVIGLIA. He should enjoy a nice trip from the gate.

BROKEN ARK (1) used the passing lane on debut when a 4m 2nd behind the MIRABAI. He worked hard in the run and it took a toll last start. Look for a sharper effort from the gate.

SELECTIONS: ALBION ARK (4), GOOD AS IT GETS (3), GUY LOOKS GOOD (9), BROKEN ARK (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TEN

COLT THIRTY ONE (2)
is on the back-up from Tues where he overcame gate 6 to press forward early and take up the lamp lighting duties. Once left alone in front, he was able to set a steady tempo before ripping home a sizzling sub 27 panel. He should be simply too good.

BUNDABURRA (5) will strip fitter following his return to the track following a break where he was charging home to get within a half-head of the winner. Taking a win at his last outing prior to going for a break, he can do some work in his races and finish best of the rest.

SALOON PASSAGE (8) will need a slice of luck in transit, but with a cosy trip on offer here can be chiming in late. A strong 3rd at his AP debut here last time out, he is in the mix.

ROCK WITH SAM (6) put the writing on the wall with a solid 2nd behind A GOOD CHANCE and franked it with a smart win when threading a passage and working down to the passing lane to score.

SELECTIONS: COLT THIRTY ONE (2), BUNDABURRA (5), SALOON PASSAGE (8), ROCK WITH SAM (6)
SUGGESTED BET: Flexi trifecta 2 / 5-6-8
