RACE TWO

NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (1) was sent to the post two’s-on last start from this same gate over the 2040m trip. Looking to take them all the way, there was a bit of action outside her and she was forced to hustle to protect the running when fighting in going under by a head. An all the way winner 3 starts back, the return to the sprint trip suits and she is the one to beat.

IMPRESSIVE DIAMOND (5) has been in the money at 8 of 10 this campaign, including the past 6 in succession. Sliding through from the 2nd line last time out, she was thereabouts when 3rd to the in-form AMAYA BECOMES. Taking them all the way 2 starts back, she can challenge despite the gate.

SWAFFHAM WATER (7) wasn’t suited when forced to do it the tough way last start outside the leader, fading in the closing stages. With a cosy trip in behind the speed, she can be ready to strike.

BILLBOARD BONNIE (2) was 1st up following a spell and a stable switch when closing in nice order to get within a head of the winner. Settling close to the tempo, she can be chiming in late again here.

SELECTIONS: NEWMERELLA LADYKAY (1), IMPRESSIVE DIAMOND (5), SWAFFHAM WATER (7), BILLBOARD BONNIE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-5-7

RACE THREE

LITTLELIONELJAMES (6) made a mess of the start at his last outing and all hope looked gone. In a big run he was able to catch the field and was only 2m from the winner. Trialling twice to iron out his issues, the 1st of those was impressive and if he can put it together, has the ability to take this.

NON PASSARE (1) doesn’t land a marble very often and should appreciate finding his way to pole position here. Not receiving the cleanest run in transit last start, he was still strong to the line when 8m from the winner SUKI DAYO which followed a close-up margin behind SIRIUS VICKI. He can test these from the ace.

SWORD AND SHIELD (8) settled in the running line last start from gate 5 and worked home in good order behind AMAYA BECOMES. Taking some benefit from that run, he can be ready to chime in.

TAYLOR HOOD (5) was 1st across the line here last start after working home to arrive. Losing the race in the stewards room for forcing the promotes ARBIT MAJOR wide, he can seek atonement here.

SELECTIONS: LITTLELIONELJAMES (6), NON PASSARE (1), SWORD AND SHIELD (8), TAYLOR HOOD (5)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

Winning form presents in this contest with 5 of the 8 combatants coming into this race as last start winners. SUKI DAYO (5) is one of those 5, arriving to win by a neck margin last start, after doing some early work to secure position. That followed meeting a much tougher field over the AP mile and with even luck she can take this.

TARGARYEN HANOVER (2) started from gate 1 last start when sent to the post in red figures. Setting the tempo over the sprint trip, he led every stride bar the most important, when beaten a neck. A winner from the stand start at Marburg 3 runs back, he can settle forward to feature in this.

CORINDHAP CREEK (6) will be out to complete a hat-trick of victories in a career that has returned 4 wins in 8 starts. Arriving to defeat TARGARYEN HANOVER last start, the gate hurts, but he can challenge.

SARIE MARAIS (1) made the most of this gate 4 starts back to take them all the way in a comfortable 8m victory. Finding it a bit tough against older more experienced performers since that win, she will appreciate this line-up from the gate.

SELECTIONS: SUKI DAYO (5), TARGARYEN HANOVER (2), CORINDHAP CREEK (6), SARIE MARAIS (1)
SUGGESTED BET: SUKI DAYO (5) to win

RACE FIVE

DEVOUGED (3) was forced to do it the tough way last start and faded under the pressure and also from a gear issue in transit. That followed a 2nd over this trip the start prior when finding the front and looking to fight them off when nabbed near the wire by MONTANA EXPRESS. From the gate he can try to dictate.

A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (5) was a winner here 4 starts back when sitting outside the leader and played the right tune to score by a half-head. Placed in all 3 runs since that victory, he was only beaten a half-neck here last time out from this gate. Despite the wide gate he can challenge.

GO ANNE GO (6) doesn’t have many favours from this gate, but should appreciate clashing against some of these opponents. Placed her past 3, she was only 1m in arrears last time out and can go close again.

WHATELEY (4) broke through to claim the prize last time out, finishing over the top after restraining from gate 5. He steps it up here, but with the winning confidence can look to chime in late.

SELECTIONS: DEVOUGED (3), A ROCKNROLL LEGACY (5), GO ANNE GO (6), WHATELEY (4)
SUGGESTED BET: DEVOUGED (3) to win

RACE SIX

Heat 7 of the Trot Rods is set down for decision where CHROMOZONE (2) can look to build on her good form. Gunned down in front over the AP mile last start, she was able to hold on here over the 2040m trip 2 starts back. Needing to be stoked up to protect the pegs, she can look to defy the early speed challenge and the shorter trip looks to be right up her alley.

DASHING HANNAH (6) set a new benchmark for this series last week when set alight off the arm she was able to find the front and power home to score. That was from gate 3 and she will need to get forward from the wider gate here, however if she has the speed to lead, it might just be race over.

JEWEL OF PEAK (3) took them all the way at Marburg 2 starts back over the sprint trip when keeping the speed on to cruise home for an easy victory. Setting the speed here last start over the 1780m, she was nabbed late by SUKI DAYO. If the leaders are left paddling, she can hoist the spinnaker to sail home.

SELECTIONS: CHROMOZONE (2), DASHING HANNAH (6), JEWEL OF PEAK (3)
SUGGESTED BET: CHROMOZONE (2) to win

RACE SEVEN

The 2040m trip might sort a few of these out and it could be a slog to the line. VALKYRIE HANOVER (7) has placed at her past 2 starts, the latest when making errors in the run and still managing to hit the line in good order up the passing lane to grab 2nd. Banished to the trials for those errors, she returns here and if able to rid the errors from her system, might just get the luck to arrive.

LANOCH BOY (3) has failed to strike a blow in 3 attempts at this trip, but he is far from the lone ranger in that regard here. Making an error last start at Marburg but still able to hold on for the bronze behind DANCING IN MANOLOS, he can settle close enough in the run here to be in the mix.

WEDDING NIGHT (1) finished down the line last start after retreating early and then finding herself too far back to work into it. With the benefit of the improved gate, she has some claims here.

MELTON MAX GENTLE (2) has placed at his past 3 in succession, the latest from gate 5 when snagging back early and then holding on for the bronze behind FOUR FOR FOUR. He will be plugging away.

SELECTIONS: VALKYRIE HANOVER (7), LANOCH BOY (3), WEDDING NIGHT (1), MELTON MAX GENTLE (2)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

MAGHERA MAGGIE (4) did it the tough way last start when sitting outside the leader and fighting hard to cling on for the silver behind RITCHIE BEE. Tough in the same racing position over the AP mile the start prior and not far from the winner FOND MEMORIES, she can lay it down here.

MAYWYNS JEWEL (6) doesn’t have any favours from this gate, but she might just have a slight enough edge to overcome the impediment. Setting the tempo last start when searing out from gate 4, she was nabbed on the wire by BRONSKI MACARENA. Swooping home to score here 4 starts back, she can arrive again.

VOODOO FELLA (5) was in for the fight last start from this gate when 3rd behind the undefeated LUXURY LAD. It didn’t really go to plan the start prior and he can be thereabouts here.

WHATA STRIDE (8) was taken back from gate 4 last start to look for the short-cuts and ran to the line in good order when 4m in arrears of the winner. With even luck she won’t be far away.

SELECTIONS: MAGHERA MAGGIE (4), MAYWYNS JEWEL (6), VOODOO FELLA (5), WHATA STRIDE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: MAGHERA MAGGIE (4) to win
