RACE TWO

SQUARE DEALER (2) has faced the starter on 3 occasions since arriving in Qld and it has been a mixed bag of results. Finishing hard to take the win when 1st up, he then faded after facing the breeze when 2nd up. Hitting the line strongly from a long way back in the pack last start, he can look to capitalise here.

STINGER LINDENNY (8) is in great touch and line up here after completing a hat-trick of victories last time out. Sent straight to the front from gate 4 over the mile, he kept the power on throughout to claim a new career PB. The gate makes it tricky here, but if the gaps arrive with track to play with, he can throw it down hard.

ROCKNROLL DUDE (1) has placed at his past 3 in succession, including in a qualifier 2 runs back. Releasing the speed after finding the front last start, he can release again here to chime into the cash.

BOMBADIER JUJON (5) eased from gate 7 last time out and sat at the rear as STINGER LINDENNY carved it out in front. With most of the action along the pegs, he was sound wide out and after 3 runs back from a break can chime in here.

SELECTIONS: SQUARE DEALER (2), STINGER LINDENNY (8), ROCKNROLL DUDE (1), BOMBADIER JUJON (5)
SUGGESTED BET: SQUARE DEALER (2) to win

RACE THREE

There looks to be plenty of early heat in this race and it will go a long way to deciding the chances of a few of these. ROYAL AURORA (6) was warming up to a Qld victory after finishing runner-up at his first 2 appearances when gunned down in the closing stages in each. Taking control last start from gate 6, he kept the power on for a strong win and he can capitalise with the right trip here.

SHANNONSTHEMAN (11) was sent forward from the six-hole here last time out and working up outside the leader was then griding away in the breeze. Fighting hard to hold on for the bronze, it followed a 1.5m deficit when 3rd to KENSINGTON BILL. An easy winner in front here 3 starts back, a hot tempo brings him in with a chance to challenge.

ROCKNROLL CLASSIC (1) has the options from this alley and has 1st chance to back away should the heat be overbearing. He found his race last start to take them all the way over this trip in claiming a qualifier and the gate is a big plus here.

PACIFIC DRUMS (2) fired across from gate 7 last time out to find the front over this trip and had the power on when only nabbed in the closing strides as KENSINGTON BILL arrived. His chances rest on the tempo.

SELECTIONS: ROYAL AURORA (6), SHANNONSTHEMAN (11), ROCKNROLL CLASSIC (1), PACIFIC DRUMS (2)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

THE FORTUNATE SON (1) has been back to the track twice since having a freshen and on both occasions, he has been back in the pack. Midfield behind STINGER LINDENNY last start, he did not really make a dent 1st up behind SLINGSHOT. Conditions look ideal from this gate and he will be in his favoured with the speed on.

COPPERFIELD (8) tried to take them all the way here 3 starts back and was gripping to the lead in the stretch, only to be nabbed right on the wire. Luckless at his next outing when never sighting an opening, he was asked to roll the sleeves last start but had not tricks from the breeze. With the likely perfect sit on the leader, he can look to slice through late.

BLUE MOON RISING (9) started from this gate last time out and stayed in the running line when trying to make closing ground. The pegs look a good option here and he can chime in off a cheap run.

MACH LE MORE (6) returns from a freshen after finishing as the runner-up at his past 2 appearances. Hitting the line stoutly last start behind subsequent winner FEELINGFORARAINBOW, he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: THE FORTUNATE SON (1), COPPERFIELD (8), BLUE MOON RISING (9), MACH LE MORE (6)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1 / 6-8-9

RACE SIX

Making an immediate impact since arriving in Qld with 3 wins and 4 2nds in her 7 starts here at The Creek, COOL AND CALCULATING (10) has changed hands and lines up here for the Jack Butler barn for the 1st time. Too powerful in the closing stages last start from gate 9, she was narrowly beaten by NIMAH FRANCO the start prior. Despite the gate, this looks well within her grasp.

ADRENALINE RUSH (2) eased from gate 6 here last start in a similar race and soon settled at the rear and the tempo at the front soon turned it into a tough task for anything back in the pack. Probing for gaps, she never warmed up as she was searching for openings. Runner-up to MISS GOLD FORTUNE the start prior, she can challenge from this alley.

LOOKING FABULOUS (5) started from inside the 2nd line last start and was soon buried in the run. Finding space, she was strong to the line to grab the bronze behind the leader and winner CHIASSO.

OURSOUTHERNSTAR (9) is another Butler trained runner and was beaten by gate 7 last start when wide off the track but still able to grab the bronze. With the right trip she can be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: COOL AND CALCULATING (10), ADRENALINE RUSH (2), LOOKING FABULOUS (5), OURSOUTHERNSTAR (9)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

OUR WALL STREET WOLF (5)
will take benefit from his 1st run since joining the Jack Butler stable where he started from inside the 2nd line. Pinned down as LEOS BEST dictated terms in front, he held ground to the line. A slick winner over the Menangle mile 3 runs back, he strikes favourable conditions here.

IMASPORTSSTAR (4) pressed to the front from gate 2 last time and was able to grab a 2nd stanza breather before dialling it back up. Unable to fight them off, he was 7m in arrears of the winner FEELINGFORARAINBOW. 8m from LEOS BEST the start prior, he can look to challenge in this line-up.

CLARRY (6) eased from gate 5 last start and was at the rear before attacking the line strongly in the latter stages. Wide when trying to eat into the deficit the start prior, he can be charging home.

OUR MAJOR DAY (3) kept them wide from gate 1 last start and tried to take them all the way over the 2138m trip. In for the fight, he had to settle for the silver when grabbed near the line. He is in the mix again.

SELECTIONS: OUR WALL STREET WOLF (5), IMASPORTSSTAR (4), CLARRY (6), OUR MAJOR DAY (3)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR WALL STREET WOLF (5) to win

RACE EIGHT

A tough 2nd division qualifier to line-up with the majority looking to recapture some winning form. WHOSTOLEMYPIGEON (4) started from gate 7 last start and snagged back early before closing out smartly to grab 3rd as TEARAWAY DIAMOND took control in front. Positioning cheaply and relying on some tempo, he can arrive.

IFOUNDTHEBEACH (9) tackled a qualifier last start over the 2138m when securing the 1x1 trail as ROCKNROLL CLASSIC dictated in front. Fading late under the slick tempo, it followed a down the line effort behind SLINGSHOT where he was just too far back in the pack. This race looks more suitable, and he can make a strong push.

CALL ME TRISH (1) was a winner here 4 runs back when securing the right early tempo to descend upon them late and take the prize. 4m in arrears of GASMONKEY last start, she can chime in.

MONTEREY JACK (2) steps up marginally in grade to tackle this but finding a position up near the pace should work in his favour. Too far back here 2 runs back, he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: WHOSTOLEMYPIGEON (4), IFOUNDTHEBEACH (9), CALL ME TRISH (1), MONTEREY JACK (2)
SUGGESTED BET: WHOSTOLEMYPIGEON (4)

RACE NINE

LITTLE BOLT (3) is never far from the action and was hitting the line in smart order last start as MARETTI held on for the prize. The start prior he was closing strongly for the bronze when 4m from the smart winner ROYAL AURORA. Where he positions will be key, but in a forward spot he finds a winnable contest.

MISS GOLD FORTUNE (7) was stamped urgent from the six-hole over the mile here 3 runs back and finding the front was gripping to the lead in the stretch. Grabbed late by ICE PICK ANGIE she followed that with a smart win from gate 12 over the 2138m. Beaten by the tempo last start, she can challenge.

COMMODORE JUJON (4) will take benefit from his latest run when returning from a break. Given a let-up after finishing 3rd to KEY LARGO, he resumed with a down the line run behind the in-form STINGER LINDENNY. He can be sharper here.

THEARTOFINFUSION (5) found conditions to suit here 5 runs back and capitalised to land a qualifying victory. It has not really gone to plan since that win, but he finds a race to bounce back.

SELECTIONS: LITTLE BOLT (3), MISS GOLD FORTUNE (7), COMMODORE JUJON (4), THEARTOFINFUSION (5)
SUGGESTED BET: LITTLE BOLT (3) to win

RACE TEN

MUSCULUS (5) started from the 20m tape last week over the 2647m trip and was soon pinned down on the pegs. Finding space to make the last challenge, he was within 2m of the winner MAJESTIC SIMON. A return to the 2138m is a big plus and back to the 10m tape looks in his favour.

RED CASTELTON (7) was a smart winner of The Marathon 2 starts back when showing superior speed at the end of the contest to arrive. His run last start was enormous from the mobile after making an error, looking to have lost all hope and then rallying late to be only 5m away. He will throw it down.

GEE UP NEDDY (8) was runner-up in The Marathon from the 20m impost. He loomed strongly in the stretch, only to be nabbed by the charging RED CASTLETON. With great manners, he can put himself in the mix.

MAJESTIC SIMON (10) bounced back to winning form last start when saved for a closing flurry and finishing hard to claim victory at the 2647m. He moves 10m closer to MUSCULUS than he was over this trip 2 starts back and cannot be ignored.

SELECTIONS: MUSCULUS (5), RED CASTELTON (7), GEE UP NEDDY (8), MAJESTIC SIMON (10)
SUGGESTED BET: MUSCULUS (5)
