RACE TWO

GREAT FANTASY (9) will be looking to remain undefeated in the Sunshine State after wins from the mobile and the tapes in his 2 appearances. Stepping straight to the front last start from the front tape, he was never in danger in taking them all the way. Back to the 20m will be a test, but with the added fitness the threepeat is on.

I ASKED NICELY (8) was up to his regular tricks last start and was banished to the trials for an error. Completing his 2 runs to earn the return, he is always a risk but at his best can perform. Despite his last start error, he was still able to grab the bronze and trotting cleanly can challenge in this.

PRINCESS FAITH (3) was having her 1st start in Qld last time out and it just did not go to plan at any stage when midfield to CHASING GREAT. The front tape suits here and although a relative novice from the tapes with just 2 starts behind the strands, she can feature.

ORLANDO JOLT (14) was hitting the line strongly last start to grab the silver behind CHASING GREAT. Tackling the stronger trotters 2 back, with the cart home here, look for him chiming in.

SELECTIONS: GREAT FANTASY (9), I ASKED NICELY (8), PRINCESS FAITH (3), ORLANDO JOLT (14)
SUGGESTED BET: GREAT FANTASY (9) to win

RACE THREE

REGAL NIGHTSHADE (9) stepped out over his less preferred 2138m trip last start and from a long way back in the pack was making good ground but was in gridlock, hitting the line with plenty still left to offer. This race looks a winnable contest, and some early heat will help his cause to power over the top.

WANNAGO (3) was sent around the field from the 2nd line at Redcliffe 2 starts back and worked hard in the run when proving too tough. Eased early from gate 7 last time out over the mile here at The Creek, she was making some nice closing metres for the bronze. With the good alley she can challenge.

KWASII (5) was asked to do it the tough way first over last time out which does not suit, and he faded after the torrid trip. Grabbed in the closing strides the start prior, he can take an early shot here and in front can give cheek.

FORTES IN FIDE (7) faces the tough gate but was still giving to the line after starting from this alley last time over the 2138m trip. Grabbed in the last strides the start prior, he can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: REGAL NIGHTSHADE (9), WANNAGO (3), KWASII (5), FORTES IN FIDE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: REGAL NIGHTSHADE (9) to win

RACE FOUR

Another tricky little contest where the inside front-line runners might not be able to see it out. If the scenarios eventuate in that manner, CHAINLINC (10) might be the one ready to power over the top. A winner here 2 starts back when finishing best to score, he was a close 2nd last start and can arrive here.

LANCELOT BROMAC (9) was just forced to make his run a little further from home than the ideal last start, but the veteran never shirked the task as he kept giving to the line when within 1m of the passing lane winner. A similar profile looks to emerge here, and he will be strong to the line again.

DELIGHTFUL REASON (4) returns from a let-up after finding the front last start before being nabbed in the closing stages by FEEL THE THUNDER. A swooping winner the start prior, she is in the mix.

IN CHEVRON WE TRUST (6) was making his 1st appearance in Qld last time out when tackling a Marburg Goldstrike heat and wide off the track he faded over the closing stages. He can be an improver.

SELECTIONS: CHAINLINC (10), LANCELOT BROMAC (9), DELIGHTFUL REASON (4), IN CHEVRON WE TRUST (6)
SUGGESTED BET: CHAINLINC (10) to win

RACE FIVE

FRONTLINER (1) will take great benefit from his return last start where he was forced to roll the sleeves and do it the tough way outside ITZ MAJOR RICH. Sprinting sharply to claim victory at his last run prior to having a break, he has the gate to take the options and looks to get every chance to land his 1st 3YO win.

GINGER MICKY (3) should be getting close to full fitness following 3 runs back from a spell where all 3 have had merit. Rolling forward from gate 6 last start, the front-end power laid it out in a sub 27 opener, and he was soon retreating to find position. Only 4m from TALENT TO SPARE the start prior, the improved gate is a huge plus.

ITS MAJOR RICH (6) is not afforded any favours from this alley but will take good confidence from his latest victory- his 1st this campaign. Pressing on to take them all the way, he will be in the fight here.

DANCINTOTHEBEAT (10) is 1st up from a spell and has opened the pipes with a recent trial in readiness. A winner at successive runs prior to a break, she can be making a closing bid in this.

SELECTIONS: FRONTLINER (1), GINGER MICKY (3), ITS MAJOR RICH (6), DANCINTOTHEBEAT (10)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

This race shapes as a cracking contest for a mid-weeker and some serious firepower will be on display. Resuming from a spell L L COOL J (4) could not have been any more impressive in a recent trial to prepare for the return when blasting his rivals off the track. Galant in defeat last start when within 2m of BALRAJ, he can return with a bang here.

TIZ A SIZZLER (3) has the fitness edge if that is what this race comes down to and has been in great touch this campaign. There was plenty of positives to take from his last start when forced to work hard early in a 52.8 mile. That had followed a clinical victory in putting them away from inside the 2nd line. He is the challenging material.

STRADDIE (8) returns from a brief let-up, last seen back in early February when buried in the run and always facing a monstrous task as TURN IT UP took the cash. Grabbed in the closing strides the start prior, the 2nd line options are a big plus.

IMASPORTSSTAR (1) will be backing up from Saturday night where he was finding the line strongly. The gate is a big plus for this contest and with the early options will be in the mix.

SELECTIONS: L L COOL J (4), TIZ A SIZZLER (3), STRADDIE (8), IMASPORTSSTAR (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

LORD DIGBY (8) will need a slice of luck and some factors in his favour from this gate, but with the right scenario eventuating, he can take his shot. Starting from gate 10 last time out, he was attacking the line strongly in the closing stages to get within a head of the winner. He can hit the target with the snipers shot here.

HAVING THE FAITH (10) will strip fitter from his latest appearance when resuming from a spell. Angled to the pegs for the economical trip 1st up, he did not have the power to go with them late as THE HERVEY BAY was dominant and in control. With the right tempo, he can challenge 2nd up.

LEFT A TERROR (2) started from inside the 2nd line last start and was soon pinned away 3 back when making some closing ground behind to be 4m from OUR MADIBA. Runner-up his previous 2, he can feature here.

OUR FRIEND (1) was not at his best from the stand last time out at Marburg when down the line. A winner here 2 runs back when taking them all the way, he can show the early hustle and try to fight them off.

SELECTIONS: LORD DIGBY (8), HAVING THE FAITH (10), LEFT A TERROR (2), OUR FRIEND (1)
SUGGESTED BET: LORD DIGBY (8) to win

RACE EIGHT

NIMAH FRANCO (6) tried to take them all the way here 3 starts back and was valiant in defeat as TIZ A SIZZLER grabbed her near the wire. Too strong in front at her next attempt over this trip in fighting them off, she was not suited in the breeze last start. If the tempo is hot, she can swoop late.

MOHS EM DOWN (5) settled in the running line last start and was trying to chime in late when finishing midfield and 7m from the winner MAJORDOIT. Runner-up the start prior when working hard in the breeze and finishing 4m from NIMAH FRANCO, he will be ready to challenge again here.

THE HERVEY BAY (7) has been racing in super touch and last start went down swinging after doing a mountain of work in the run and still only 2m from the winner. He steps up to the 2138m here, but he will be in the fight once again.

KANYE CRUSADER (4) was shooting for a hat-trick here last start when easing from gate 3 over the mile. Looking to make a closing play, he was 7m from the winner SCARLET BABE and has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: NIMAH FRANCO (6), MOHS EM DOWN (5), THE HERVEY BAY (7), KANYE CRUSADER (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE NINE

ILLAWONG DREAMTIME (9) started from gate 11 last time out over this trip and was back in the pack before hitting the line strongly to be 4m from the winner RECIPE FOR DREAMING. Eased from gate 5 the start prior, he did not really warm up over the mile. With the right early trail, this is the type of race he can bob up in.

GOPATI (3) fired off the arm last time out at this trip from this same gate to take control and attempt to take them all the way. Fighting hard he was grabbed in the last stride when beaten an eyelash. Fading after working hard the start prior, he will be gripping on again here.

JIVE (6) tackled a mares qualifier last start where gate 7 was her undoing after retreating and then unable to get into the contest. Grabbing the silver, the start prior, positioning cheaply will be a big plus.

MY ULTIMATE BONDI (1) eased from gate 3 to stay away from the early speed last start before trying to launch a closing rally when 5m in arrears of the winner. From the gate he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: ILLAWONG DREAMTIME (9), GOPATI (3), JIVE (6), MY ULTIMATE BONDI (1)
SUGGESTED BET: ILLAWONG DREAMTIME (9) each-way
