RACE TWO

THE REAPER (8) started from the 30m tape last start and finding the 1x1 trail, chased gamely for a midfield finish behind DOWN UNDER RORS. Within 1.5m of the winner GREAT FANTASY when using the passing lane here 2 starts back, he can press ahead here and with an even slice of luck in the capacity field can arrive.

MELPARK MAGIC (12) had been building up to something and franked that assessment with a smart win from the front after steeping cleanly to dictate from a 10m tape over the 2138m here 3 runs back. Runner-up at his next start when closing out hard, he has the big impost but his manners help.

DOWN UNDER RORS (3) is in the zone and lines up here shooting for the hat-trick. Scoring here 2 starts back when finding the line in nice style, he backed that up with a nice win here on Friday when having the edge to arrive. From the 30m and with nice manners, he is right in the fight in this.

JANSSON (7)
is normally a safe beginner but made a mess of the start here last week to throw his chances out the window. Finishing best to score from a 60m handicap 2 starts back, he can bounce back here.

SELECTIONS: THE REAPER (8), MELPARK MAGIC (12), DOWN UNDER RORS (3), JANSSON (7)
SUGGESTED BET: THE REAPER (8) to win

RACE THREE

MANILA PLAYBOY (11)
returned with a demolition job last week when 1st up since a one-stop Menangle outing back in January. With a smart trial in readiness, he worked around the field and put them away in the twinkling of the eye to run away with a 35m victory. If there is any query it is his 1st look at the 2138m but he strikes a field where all the main players have no exposed form at the trip.

CAPTAINS PICK (6) will be shooting for a hat-trick of victories after successive wins at Redcliffe. Both wins have been at the 1780m and both when drawn inside the 2nd line. Using the passing lane to arrive last start, he worked home smartly wide out the start prior and can look to fill the minors.

CHAINLINC (5) started from inside the 2nd line last start and was soon buried away in the run and looking to be in a spot of bother. Working one-off, he found the space and charged home to a smart win. He is a podium chance in this.

GLITTER STRIP (9) has been hitting some nice areas on The Triangle of late, with a top-3 at his past 5 in succession that has include two victories. Powering home over the top last start, he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: MANILA PLAYBOY (11), CAPTAINS PICK (6), CHAINLINC (5), GLITTER STRIP (9)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

VANISH HANOVER (1) was heading into her assignment on Friday night with placings in 4 of her previous 5 starts. 1st up for the new barn at her latest appearance, she finished midfield when not really getting warm. The improved gate is a big plus and with the likelihood of an economical trip, she has the options to strike in the stretch.

MY ULTIMATE CLIPPA (4) will take good benefit from his latest appearance when returning from a long break to start his 3YO term. Sent to the front over the Redcliffe sprint trip, he was trying to fight them off when 3.5m in arrears of the winner. The added fitness and back to the big oval are in his favour.

HES SWEET (6) started from inside the 2nd line last start and was soon angled to open space. Trying to launch a closing raid, he was 7m from the winner CHAMONIX. Grinding out a gritty 2nd 2 starts back, the gate stings but he can feature.

SPECIALANDIKNOWIT (5) has been runner-up at his past 3 starts in succession, the latest when best of the chasing pack behind the star on the rise MANILA PLAYBOY. Despite a sticky alley, he has claims.

SELECTIONS: VANISH HANOVER (1), MY ULTIMATE CLIPPA (4), HES SWEET (6), SPECIALANDIKNOWIT (5)
SUGGESTED BET: VANISH HANOVER (1) to win

RACE SIX

ATOMIC BOMBSHELL (2)
was returning from her latest stand down here last start when landing gate 1. Taking the trail in the early stages, she was able to complete the course in her gear when trying to make a closing play up the passing lane. She can settle close to the pointy end to claim a tricky contest.

MAYWYN TROUBADOR (4) is on the back-up from Friday where he was starting inside the 2nd line and completely luckless after being buried and seeing no space. Returning from a spell in fine fettle 2 runs back, he was sent forward to take control and once in front had them chasing all the way to score a tidy 1st up win. He can roll forward to feature again.

WOODLANDS WONDER (5) settled in the running line last start at Redcliffe when making some closing metres to grab the bronze behind LIVING GRAND. With the right trip he has podium claims.

LANCELOT BROMAC (9) ended up back in the pack from gate 3 last start before making a wide and sustained run that also saw him strike trouble. Pushing through early here can see him joining in late.

SELECTIONS: ATOMIC BOMBSHELL (2), MAYWYN TROUBADOR (4), WOODLANDS WONDER (5), LANCELOT BROMAC (9)
SUGGESTED BET: ATOMIC BOMBSHELL (2) to win

RACE SEVEN

HAVING THE FAITH (8)
will be relying on some factors in his favour from this alley, but with the 1 looking the leader, if he gets to the passing lane with momentum, he can be ready to take the snipers shot. Eased from gate 4 last start, he was pegged away and will be waiting on the opening here.

HENRY HU (7) made a mess of things here 2 starts back and after doing some work to catch the field was then sticking to inside runs to close out soundly under the circumstances. Taken back early last start, he was hitting the line in nice order to grab the bronze behind LEFT A TERROR when 4m in arrears. The gates stings again, but he is improving at every outing.

VIRGIL (9) will take good benefit from his latest appearance when resuming from a spell. Tracking home wide out as GOLIGHTLY controlled it from the front, it followed a smart preparatory trial and he has claims here.

ALE ALE KAI (2) held the pocket trail from gate 1 last start and was chasing to the line for the bronze behind GOLIGHTLY. Strong late from gate 12 the start prior, she can be close enough to chime in here.

SELECTIONS: HAVING THE FAITH (8), HENRY HU (7), VIRGIL (9), ALE ALE KAI (2)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

SAM IS PERFECTION (6)
took on a veteran’s event last start from gate 3 when sliding in to find 1x1 cover. Looming up in the stretch, he was trying to launch a closing raid when finishing 1.5m from the winner JONAH JONES. Luckless the start prior after working hard, back to the claiming grade can see him arrive.

KETUT (1) has not really been suited at recent outings, beaten by gate 7 last start in a veteran’s which followed a fade out at Redcliffe behind MUCH BETTOR. Leading in both starts the 2 runs previous which is not his caper, tucking in for the trail and first shot at the passing lane can see a sharper effort here.

SABRAGE (3) showed his customary early speed to take control last start over the 2138m before tucking in for the trail. Making a last dive to be a head from CHANTREY, he can prove tough to crack in front.

VIGOROSO (9) made his Qld debut with a tough run from the 2nd line that resulted in being banished to the trials. Earning the return with a tidy hit out, he backs up from Friday and is in the mix here.

SELECTIONS: SAM IS PERFECTION (6), KETUT (1), SABRAGE (3), VIGOROSO (9)
SUGGESTED BET: SAM IS PERFECTION (6) to win

RACE NINE

PARAVANI (4)
will be on the back-up from Saturday night where he made the closing shot after releasing the seed and went within a flared nostril of edging out BLACKSADANCE. Grabbed in the closing stages 3 starts back after setting the speed, he can use his good speed out of the machine to find a forward spot in this contest.

MY ULTIMATE STAR (9) returns to Qld for the Jarrod Alchin barn and brings a 50% win strike rate from his 6 starts here at The Creek. Down the line last start as EXPENSIVE EGO shattered the clock in front in a 1.48.6 mile win, he was sound the start prior at Penrith from the 2nd line. This looks within his grasp.

AQUA MISS (8) was forced to hang tough last start after being sent forward from a wide gate to grind away first over. Digging in to finish midfield behind GOLIGHTLY, she will be probing here.

SPRING CAMPAIGN (1) joins the Nathan Dawson team and will be 1st up since September. A winner 4 starts back, he was not far away at his next 3. With a pair of trials to prepare, the gate is a big plus.

SELECTIONS: PARAVANI (4), MY ULTIMATE STAR (9), AQUA MISS (8), SPRING CAMPAIGN (1)
SUGGESTED BET: MY ULTIMATE STAR (9) to win
