RACE TWO

RAINBOW STYLING (3) looks the type that should appreciate these conditions wit good speed out of the machine and with a better record at the sprint trip. Locked away from inside the 2nd line here 2 starts back, she was best of the chasers once the gaps opened to grab the silver behind CHUMP CHOP. Finding the pegs can see her hold on here.

SIR BULSKI (6) has the wide gate to contend with, but if he can stay close enough in the run, he might just be able to cash-in here. Game in defeat here 2 starts back when doing the work outside the leader and only a half-neck in arrears, he can look to strike.

RITCHIE BEE (4) faded last start after working hard in the run when facing the breeze. Hitting the line in nice order the start prior when buried in transit from inside the 2nd line, he has claims.

SELECTIONS: RAINBOW STYLING (3), SIR BULSKI (6), RITCHIE BEE (4)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

AQUA SANCTA (7)
was returning from a let-up last start and was sent forward from gate 4 to take control soon after the start. In a smart last 800m, he was able to fight off the challengers to hold on for a half-head victory. Fitter from that outing, he will rely on a slice of luck but with the economical trip can be ready to strike in the stretch.

SWEET AS (2) had been moving closer to a drought breaking win, but it appeared she had forgotten the secret knock to open the door of victory. That memory returned 2 starts back when finishing best to score at the 1780m and then last start was strong over the 2040m trip. From the good alley, the threepeat is within reach.

LITTLE CHANGE (5) did not have the smoothest passage last start when trying to make his challenge and was down the line. Hitting the line strongly the start prior, with a cleaner trip he can chime in.

RUM DELIGHT (1) was asked to work hard in the run here 2 starts back and in a slick mile was unable to handle the pressure when fading. Grabbed late after leading last start, he will be gripping on.

SELECTIONS: AQUA SANCTA (7), SWEET AS (2), LITTLE CHANGE (5), RUM DELIGHT (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FIVE

LIVING GRAND (7) will need a slice of luck and some factors in his favour from this gate, but it might just work in his favour in a tricky contest. Setting the speed last start he was gunned down in the closing strides when beaten a head which followed a passing lane win here 2 starts back. If he can hit the lane with momentum, he can arrive.

ARTISTIC SAINT (1) was a Marburg winner 4 starts back when taking them all the way from gate 1 over the 1850m. Eased from gate 6 over the mile at headquarters at his next start, he attacked the line strongly to grab the silver behind BARKWAY ARNOLD. From the gate he will be looking to dictate.

JOVIAL JULIE (3) should appreciate an improved alley after facing some tough gates in recent times. Forget her last start when striking trouble, she had placed her previous 6 in succession and can feature again.

ALLSTAR SEA (6) will be fitter from his latest outing when 2nd up from a spell. Eased from gate 7, he went to the pegs over the AP mile to hope for some luck as JINGLES BROMAC took the prize. Placed in 9 of 14 here at The Triangle, he can add to that.

SELECTIONS: LIVING GRAND (7), ARTISTIC SAINT (1), JOVIAL JULIE (3), ALLSTAR SEA (6)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3-6-7

RACE SIX

WHATA CHALLENGE (1)
started from inside the 2nd line last time out when 2nd up from a spell. With the cosy trip in behind the speed, he looked to make the closing challenge when finishing a half-head shy of the winner. Fitter from that outing and with the options from this alley, he gets his chance.

GET READY TO ROCK (5) was making her 1st appearance here in Qld 2 starts back when sent forward from gate 6 to get outside the leader and do the heavy lifting. Gritty in defeat when 1.5m in arrears of the winner, she was banished to the trials last start. Freshened and earning the return with a tidy hit out, she can challenge fresh.

WHATELEY (8) will be looking to complete a hat-trick of victories after successive wins here at this trip. Finishing over the top of them from the 2nd line last start, he can be swooping late again here.

FIRE ME UP (9) eased from gate 4 last start to find position and was then hitting the line in nice order to grab the bronze behind HESLUVABLE. The 2nd line does her no favours but she can chime in.

SELECTIONS: WHATA CHALLENGE (1), GET READY TO ROCK (5), WHATELEY (8), FIRE ME UP (9)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

MIDNIGHT QUEEN (2)
was eased from a wide gate in last week’s Trot Rods opener and saved for the closing challenge. Winding up down the outside of the track, she really attacked the line to get within a half-head of the winner. Her early speed is an asset but the 2040m poses a query.

MANOFLISA (6) racked up another minor last start to make it a top-3 at 7 of his past 8 appearances. Starting from gate 10 over the AP mile, he was making a 3-wide challenge to get within a head of the winner. Only a half-head from the winner 3 starts back, the gate stings but he can throw it down.

MELTON LUCKY (1) finished best to claim victory at Marburg 4 starts back and followed that with a 2nd behind ELLE JAY here over the 1780. Only collared late here last start, he can feature from this gate.

CALCULATED RISK (3) worked down to the pegs last start over the flying 947m and chased hard to hold on for 3rd behind ELLE JAY. Hitting the line strongly the start prior, she can be in the mix here.

SELECTIONS: MIDNIGHT QUEEN (2), MANOFLISA (6), MELTON LUCKY (1), CALCULATED RISK (3)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE EIGHT

SHES MISS DEVINE (5)
returned from a long spell to open her 3YO term with a smart win when leading throughout from the three-hole here 3 runs back. Placed in both starts since that win, she has faced wide gates as she does again here. Grinding it out in the breeze last start and only 2m in arrears, she can cash-in here.

ROYAL PRINCESS (8) worked into the pocket trail from gate 3 last time out before using the passing lane to land the winning blow and claim victory by a neck. Taking a trail on SHES MISS DEVINE here 3 starts back, she was within 2m of the win when best of the rest and will be chasing hard again.

HURRIKANE HOUR (9) was beaten by gate 6 last start when trying to work home wide off the track but just could not get into the contest. A winner 5 runs back, he was runner-up at his next 3 in succession and has podium claims again.

GO AWAY (4) finally opened her account at start number 13 and did so in style when powering clear to claim victory by a margin of 40m. With some confidence from that, she can feature here.

SELECTIONS: SHES MISS DEVINE (5), ROYAL PRINCESS (8), HURRIKANE HOUR (9), GO AWAY (4)
SUGGESTED BET: SHES MISS DEVINE (5) to win

RACE NINE

ELLE JAY (8) tackled the 1t Trot Rods heat last week when staying out of the early pace battle. Waiting until they swung for home, she had the arrows in the quiver to hit the target and claim victory by a half-head. An all the way winner over 1780m here 3 starts back, she looks to have their measure in this.

WHATA REACTOR (3) was stoked up out of the machine to hold them out early in a Trot Rods heat last week and was driven hard to try to see it out. Fading late as ELLE JAY swept over the top, she was a winner over this trip 2 starts back when taking a trail and then pouncing late. She can challenge.

MAGHERA MAGGIE (4) will take some benefit from her latest outing when 1st up fro a break and sent around over the 947m scamper. Back to this format looks more suitable.

STAR OF WONDER (7) was a winner from the pocket trail here 2 starts back after making the most of a cosy trip behind the speed. With another economical trip here, he can be probing.

SELECTIONS: ELLE JAY (8), WHATA REACTOR (3), MAGHERA MAGGIE (4), STAR OF WONDER (7)
SUGGESTED BET: ELLE JAY (8) to win

RACE TEN

CHARMING CHARLOTTE (1) will take good benefit from her latest outing when first up from 12 months off the scene. Taking an early trail, she had no answer for the star 3YO MANILA PLAYBOY but never gave in and chased all the way. Displaying early speed in a trial, she gets her chance to open the account in this.

BRAEBEACH (2) is a 4YO making his debut for Darrel Graham, the gelded son of Somebeachsomewhere, trialled back in October before being sent for another break. Returning with a tidy AP trial in readiness for hi 1st race appearance, he has the gate to challenge.

CHARM OFFENSIVE (7) is a Bettors Delight 3YO filly on debut for Lachie Manzelmann that has qualified with a tidy trial performance. With an economical trip 1st up, she stays in the mix.

PRINCESS CHILLA (5) tackled a strong APG heat last start where she found the line in nice order when within 3m of the winner JASPER. Hitting the line nicely the start prior in a similar race, she can feature in this line-up.

SELECTIONS: CHARMING CHARLOTTE (1), BRAEBEACH (2), CHARM OFFENSIVE (7), PRINCESS CHILLA (5)
SUGGESTED BET: CHARMING CHARLOTTE (1) to win
